Lost sight of the customer
By v282987 on 3/9/2012
Alba-Villebate has lost sight of the most important thing...their customer. After being quoted $70 for a birthday cake, the next day being told it was now $75 and not honoring their original quote is horrible. I have been a customer of theirs for 35 years and I drive in from Long Island. To lose a customer over $5??? Shame on them. The manager was no help either. Very arrogant. I cant believe they handled the situation this way. For what I thought was an upscale shop...they really have downscaled!
The Shop of Quality
By LondonJJP on 3/30/2011
I used to live on 17th Ave and every Sunday a trip here was a MUST! Back then it was simply called Alba's. They had the best, by far. Price is still extremely reasonable given the quality. Give this shop a try. You won't be sorry and I guarantee you will go back again and again.
Best cannoli in town!
By chaz1192 on 3/16/2005
This bakery ranks up there with the best ones you'll find in the tri-state area. The food compares to some of the best pastries you'll find in Italy! The best cannoli in NYC, hands down! The cakes are rich and tasty and not too expensive. Although the line gets ridiculous on weekedns/holidays and they could use a few extra hands behind the counter, this bakery is worth the trip to Brooklyn.

Forget about Veniero's, Ferrara's, et al. Villabate Pasticceria, located in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, is the alpha and omega of Italian pastries in the good ole USA. They are "to die for." Unfortunately, once you try their pastries, you will find it impossible to accept others. But, good news. They deliver.
