Great for events

I held an event at Vintage Irving last night and cannot say enough about the service, food and overall quality and value. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The food was delicious. The value was excellent. All my guests had a wonderful time. We were given a private room which added to the atmosphere and afterwards enjoyed the main bar where the bartenders were friendly and not overbearing. I would definitely suggest this for an event or for a dinner/drinks, try the calamari, amazing!

most wine bars i've been to are about as unwelcoming as can be, without any aid offered when trying to decipher the bottle lists, but here, it's SO different. the servers know the menu thoroughly, and recommend not only tasty dishes and wines, but also good pairings of the two, without upselling to just make a quick buck. definitely a great neighborhood spot, without the typical neighborhood attitude.

I went here recently and woah.. not what I expected. I am a frequent visitor of Sidebar and I thought Vintage Irving would be sports bar-ish because I know thats the business of the owners. Boy, was I surprised- this place is very nice and cozy and there are no tv's in sight- I love it.

I bumped into this place by accident recently and decided to take a chance. I ordered grilled octopus and a salad called cantamplano I believe. Everything I had was delicious. I will return on purpose this time!

I have never been a fan of absinthe.. however, this place changed my mind. After being pressured by my friend to try it with her, I did and I'm so happy I did. Check it out- so cool.

Vintage Irving Review _You MUST try it!

I was meeting a friend in Union Square and decided to walk around to find a place. We stumbled upon Vintage Irving (attached to Side Bar) & were greeted by a friendly host. while looking at the menu, we were introduced to their wine sommelier.After deciding what to eat , the sommelier recommended a delicious wine from Spain. We started with lobster bisque, was delicious, a bit expensive yet the presentation amazing. We also had the mushroom risotto, and not being a fan of mushrooms, my mind has now changed.Since its all little plates to share we also had the duck, which was good, but a little tough.Our waitress noticed we were not a fan of the duck, she was apologetic and took that item off our bill- that NEVER happens!The potato gnocci was the best.You MUST have the chocolate souffle, we fought over it and I ended up licking the bowl clean.Chef Jason introduced himself, presented a few of the dishes and He explained them.The bill was not too high, the service & food were great.We went for drinks, but ended up staying for a great meal.
