Do not book for a wedding.

Horrible experience. The air conditioner did not work the entire time and this was a summer wedding.
AMAZING FOOD, BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC NYC LANDMARK
By lizzie5566 on 2/3/2011
I am going to strongly disagree with negative reviews on here...trust me I eat out in NYC often! We have been here on several occasions, both for weddings and to dine. ALL AMAZING! We just went here tonight for restaurant week and I felt compelled to share what a fantastic meal and experience we had here. The food and presentation were lovely(I wanted to take a picture of my scallops before eating them!) and our waiters were great; checking in on us often even though the restaurant was booked full with guests. The view and ambience speak for themselves...incredible. The new interior...big thumbs up! Sleek, updated and classic. Please give this great landmark restaurant a try...you won't be sorry. It is perfect for a special occasion.
dont waste your hard earned money here!

worst service ever in a NYC restaurant, thanksgiving feast was a disaster ,cold horderves , the butternut soup tasted like dish water, cold bread?, horrible salad 3 pieces of lettice on a plate.lampchops roar ! turkey dry and tasteless. which they removed 4 times. 10 people in suits hovered around, not 1 new what they were doing. not 1 server came over to ask us how anything was. our waitress was a flake. so unorganized then 2 waitresses were arguing with each other right behind us ..IT WAS A DISASTER . food "3" service "1" we will never be back ..475 to take 4 people out for dinner :( yuck!

My Fiance and I dined there recently and had a wonderful experience. The staff was attentive and the food was wonderful. I had the organic roast chicken and some creme brulee. My favorite part was the view.
Delicious in Every Way!

We dined at Water's Edge this past Thanksgiving and it was perfect.... the atmosphere was festive, the service was attentive and positive and the food was delicious. My husband ordered a bottle of wine from their list of recomendations and we were very pleased - it truly complimented our meal. The ferry ride there and back completed the experience with memories that will stay with us for a long time.

My husband and I were married here 4 years ago and come back every year for our anniversary. We love everything about the place. It's a great place to have an affair. The food is delicious and service is excellent. The view of Manhattan is spectacular.
YOU FEEL LIKE A KING EATING HERE

THE SERVICE AT WATER'S EDGE IS SO OUTSTANDING, YOU FEEL LIKE ROYALTY. THE COOKING HERE FOCUSES ON VERY ELEGANT TASTES OF FINE FOODS, INSTEAD OF FLAVORING WITH TOO MUCH BUTTER OR GARLIC.
Great for a special occasion

I ate here months ago and I'm still dreaming of my meal. I felt so pampered--the staff is very attentive and considerate. A server comes around with a huge bread basket and you pick as many rolls as you want (I almost went buckwild with the chive biscuits). The clam chowder was the best I've ever eaten and my salmon over risotto was tender and flavorful. My boyfriend got lamb shank with carrots and whipped potatoes in a very savory gravy. The lamb was pretty fatty, but that can't really be avoided. Dessert was a delicious mousse concoction, and the chef also sent out a little plate of chocolates and mini pastries. We had taken the romantic ferry across the river but by the time dinner was over there was to much ice for it to operate. So a driver took us back to Manhattan in a van! They definitely go above and beyond to make a lovely and memorable evening. The only downside is that this detail to attention doesn’t come cheap. A place of this caliber is basically out of my price range, but I would come back in a heartbeat if someone else was paying!
