Cozy atmosphere, very gentle and professional service and great food. We got there late in the evening on a quiet day but still received a friendly and polite service. The drinks were good and the food was delicious, especially the hanger steak frites and the Artichoke ravioli. One of my favorites spots in the neighborhood!

Extremely rude service, will never go back. 3 pm; no one is waiting; some tables are free. When asking if possible to get a coffee outside we got a grinning waiter checking us from head to toe as if we were not good enough for his place. Then another waiter comes in, and apologizes: they are between 2 shifts and cannot serve us in the next 20 minutes. This is already strange (which restaurant interrupts its service while customers are still eating...?) but ok, we can wait for some time... But what is not acceptable is that not only couldn’t they serve us; no we also could not sit there!

Love the atmosphere in this place, particularly when it's warm and the restaurant is opened up, sidewalk tables. The food is great, nothing amazing, but definitely above par. They often have good local fish --striped bass from long island. The vegetable wellington is very good.

I always love going to this place. Really fresh, inventive food, and sidewalk seating. Local ingredients and good for both vegetarians (though you'll mostly have to cobble together appetizers/soups/salads) and carnivores.

I have had many a great meal here. The food is trustworthy, always delicious and innovative. These folks really know how to make a great evening out. The food is as good as it gets around cobble hill. Super friendly service too!

fun atmosphere, tasty food most of the time, but the service definitely leaves something to be desired. Id think about going back but they seriously need to work on the service.

Over priced bland food served up with an attitude

If I could give 1/2 a star I would just for the deco, which to be honest isn't that great either. The food is bland, the menu is limited and the prices are extortionate for the neighborhood. I almost wanted to throw up after managing to get through 1/2 the chicken Milanese which was fatty, greasy and piled high with the kind of potato salad you buy in pathmark. Service was poor with attitude to match. Also, a major pet peeve of mine is charging extra for sides but maybe that's just me. I have eaten better chicken Milanese at the Pizza place on my corner for 1/3 of the price. Nothing to see here. Please move on.

Good. But a little too pricey.

My first impression of the place is that it's cute. The decor is simple. It is larger than I thought. There is a dinning room at the front and a second dinning room in the back. I started with the gazpacho with lump crab garnish. When they say, "garnish", they mean it. I figured it would be a couple of bites. It was more like a teaspoon. The gazpacho itself was good. It was very smooth and liquid-like. I personally like my gazpacho to have more texture. I like to taste and feel the small bits of tomato, peppers, etc. But to its credit, it was very flavorful and refreshing. I moved on to the Pinelands Farm burger. My girlfriend had the BBQ Long Island duck hash. My burger was good. I did order it medium rare and got it closer to medium. Good news was it was still very juicy and good. Keep in mind, they will charge you an extra dollar for each: sweet onions, cheese, bacon and/or avocado. So it adds up quickly. The duck hash was cooked with potatoes and flavored with a BBQ sauce over a bed of greens and topped with a sunnyside up duck egg. The egg was good. Overall it was pretty good. I found the BBQ sauce overpowering and too sweet. It really masked a lot of the duckiness of the duck. I found it was very rich. I think the food was fine. The service was good. Our waitress was attentive though we were stuck in the second dining room. However, I walked away feeling like we had paid too much for a brunch for two. The food was good. But not sure it was worth the money.

When my family visited NY tonight (a Monday) we ended up here after deciding not to wait 2 hours at Buttermilk Channel down the street. What luck! They have a "Monday Special" -- a grass-fed burger AND fries AND beer for $10. My parents and sister all got that and loved it, everything cooked perfectly to order, the beer selection excellent. We also got some salads and appetizers (the lobster bisque, a special, was outstanding). All in all, everyone left totally satisfied. Since NY is my town now, I was glad to show my family how delicious it can be.

Stopped in on a rainy Sunday evening and had a nice meal without a wait. The host and our waitress were very accommodating. My companion ordered the rib-eye special which I thought was tough, but he liked it. My shrimp were great, but there was way too much cheese in the grits. It was more like cheese with some grits, however, it's hard to be negative about cheese. The collard greens were done well and we cleaned our plate of the iceberg wedge salad with gorgonzola. I'd stop in again for a nice evening out or maybe try brunch if it weren't too crowded.
