we adored this place when it opened last autumn--something earthy and real with no scene, and in our neighborhood. the owners are lovely people, the food divine, and the selection of beers and bourbons, right up our street. however, it's now been taken over by a crowd hitherto seen on the other side of 7th Avenue and meatpacking sorts. it's impossible to provide good service when most are there just to overdrink and crowd the space, so we feel we can only go on the odd afternoon. very disappointing for a place with such good aspirations and quality product!
