This is the best place for Chinese food in the city. The eggrolls are top-notch. I live in Nashville and love to visit NYC. Wo Hop is one of the first places I go.

I think my friend and I are the only people who weren't so into this place. It came recommended, and the prices are fab and there's a large menu, but both of our dishes were relatively bland. Not the cleanest place either, but obviously other people were really into it as there was a line out the door up the stairs. At least 20 people waiting for a seat at lunch time.

Going to Wo Hop has always been part of the standard fare for visiting Chinatown. I usually enjoy a bowl of noodles with soup buns.

I have been going to this place since 1980. I thought my date was crazy. Sharing tables, hot tea in water glasses, long lines on a Friday/Saturday in the nice weather but what an experience. The food is some of the best and freshest I have ever eaten. I moved from Brooklyn to Pennsylvania and drove the 2 hours at least every other month. I live in Utah now but travel often back home. That is one of the places I have to go to. The food does not compare at any other Chinese place. The place is a dive but clean. The waiters are courteous and if you get Lum he is funny. He has been there for years. Everyone I recommend this place to loves it. I have even overheard tourists talking about where to eat when I am on my way to Wo Hop and tell them to follow me. The place is the best.

My experience at Wo Hop was an unforgettable night. My mouth waters just reflecting upon the food we ate. I have eaten in many places in Hong Kong, the U.S. and Canada also my parents owned a popular restaurant for over 10 years so I know good food. The cooks at Wo Hop prepared exceptional dishes. And the servers were fast and courteous. I was so impressed with all of the history of visitors on the wall I even placed my business card there on the wall next to our booth. Don't forget to buy a t-shirt I got one for my son and I. I wish i had more time to stay and experience everything on their menu.

This place I love and also miss so much. When a person asks me where to go eat at in NYC even though I live out of town and visit as much as possible , everyone praises me that I sent them in the heart of China Town Mott St.I wish I could bring the food here in the south !
