Not your average thai place... things are spicy, so order mild.

The food is unlike any other I've had at a "Thai" place -- seems authentic (menu categories are untranslated so I had to guess what Larb, Nam Tom & Som Tum mean). If you're either familiar with this cuisine or have an adventurous palate, you should be happy -- the Larb (we got it with duck) was standout and everything else was fresh and flavorful (although the Pukk Boong Fai Dang -- sauteed morning glory with fresh chili -- was decidedly NOT "mild" as requested... my friends and I don't consider ourselves spice wimps, but that dish was unfinishable). But the service leaves a LOT to be desired. They're still only a few months old so I chalk it up to inexperience, but nearing 10p on a Thursday at least a couple parties were waiting on the sidewalk to be seated while a group lingered at a 4-top for a good 15-20 minutes, bill settled and table cleared save for the doggy bag and water glasses. Now, in this situation I don't think it's unreasonable for management to apologetically ask for the table in order to accommodate the waitlist. When we were finally seated, we had to flag down a server after another ten minutes of being completely ignored, even for beverages... AND in the end, our server asked our table and another to settle our bills because they were "closing early" -- we probably would have been done sooner had they worked the table turnover better on the front end! I'll go back when the service improves, because it'd be a shame to miss out on the unique dishes.
