Should we go to SriPraPhai tonight or Zabb? Both Jackson Heights (May be Woodside for the GPS) restaurants have great food so how do we choose. If the backyard is open for SriPraPhai that's where we go. If not then it's off to Zabb. Zabb is small with only 7 or 8 tables. It is quiet, not a lot of in and out traffic. The staff is pleasant, responsive to our culinary requests, and the food is gooood. For us we start with the crispy duck salad and then the rest of our order is up for grabs. It is almost always really good, slightly better than what we find at SriPraPhai which is also excellent and is usually too crowded for us to go primetime. Note: you must call at 5:30 to see if the backyard at SriPraPhai is open that night. Our problem... We live in Manhattan but after eating at these Thais restaurants we have not found Manhattan Thais restaurants that satisfy like these two.

My first time there was last night on valentine's. To my surprise, the place is very small (roughly 7-10 tables) but it gave me and my wife a nice and cozy feeling. Once in the restuarant, no one attended us, we stood around until a waiter noticed us and told us to wait until he cleans the table...(there is only 1 waiter, 30 mins later a second one showed up)...it took him 30 mins to clean it... took another 15 mins before he took our order...over all the food is good, but everything are a little tooooo sweet for my taste. Sum yom Soup is a must try. Fish cake average, Crispy whole fish is a blast. Chicken Liver is good but order 1 only.
