Burnt coffee, for $3 I could get better, awful customer service, the attitude of the barista doing even worst. The feeling you will have is get your cup of espresso and get out.

I hate to recommend Zibetto because I want to still be able to stand at the bar (and not wait outside behind a rope). The espresso is the best I've had in years. They keep it simple and do it right. Don't drink coffee? You've just never had to right stuff. Go.

Hands down the best coffee in NYC. My days in New York donÂ’t start before I get a cappuccino and cornetto from here. Have yet to find an adequate equivalent in London.

I had a macchiato and a panini later and it was heaven. It'sreally small so I would get something to go, plus I think if you get a drink to go you get a larger serving. But, it's very European and the espressos are delicious.

They have amazing chocolate croissants that goes really well with a shot of espresso. Being there transcends me back to the times I've been to Italy.

On a small section of Sixth Avenue, tucked away behind the rows of scaffolding between 56th and 57th Street, there is a door. Or rather, a portal. A portal leading to a world of taste, refinement, and all that is good about Western civilization. This world is called "Italy". At Zibetto's ordering coffee is a simple, one-word procedure: "caffe". The terms "tall", "half-caf" and "pumpkin spice caramel latte" do not register with its strict baristas (for anyone requiring such things there's a you-know-what directly opposite). The place is dominated by a long bar, around which a hoard of attractive people shout their orders and exchange cash. At $2 for an espresso it is a slight indulgence, but well worth it simply to recall the experience of drinking from a real coffee cup, and more so for the heart-warming knowledge that there is hope in this mediocrity-embracing world, at least as far as coffee is concerned.
