I knew that my gf wanted something unique, but I didn't know where to begin. The team at McII was extremely helpful bringing a complete novice up to speed with the numerous aspects that go into the perfect ring. John took the time to explain the 4 C's (and many other practical considerations that I never would have imagined), while accompanying each description with a tangible example. There is also a noticeable difference between salesmen and craftsmen. The McII team never appeared pushy or sales-driven. They were much more concerned about getting it "right" than getting it "done". For someone who was extremely nervous about making such a large purchase, the McII team provided a comfortable environment to make such a momentous decision. From a logistics stand point, Walter was incredibly accessible in both New York City and Great Barrington. I couldn't have been happier with my experience, and we couldn't be happier with the result.

I knew I wanted a say in the ring, but my boyfriend wanted it to be a surprise. So I decided I would do some research so I could give him hints of what I liked. From the beginning, I didn't want a solitaire. I didn't love prongs, and I didn't want my ring to look like anyone else's. But then I visited McII, and I fell in love (with a ring, not another man). Each ring looked unique and special. With vintage flair and designs that screamed artisanal, I knew I had found the place. And to my surprise, the ring that was most perfect was a solitaire. But it looked nothing like any solitaire I had ever seen. I was simple and elegant, subtly detailed and beautiful from ever angle. The craftsmanship was astounding. How could they make a solitaire look so different and unusual? You'll have to check them out to find out! I look at my now and I am so happy. It is the perfect ring for me, and the perfect ring for us.

My now fiance came across McTigue & McClelland when helping a friend look for rings. She had commented then that their designs were the most unique and special that she had seen. I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with John and Walter choosing the design and stone to surprise her with an engagement ring. And Steve created a ring that she will treasure forever. Several of her closest friends have commented how suited to her it is, that if she were a ring, this is the ring she would be. After the surprise engagement we had the pleasure of visiting their workshop in their Berkshires - a very special experience. I would recommend to anyone looking for something uniquely wonderful!

After I saw McTeigue and McClelland's jewelry for the first time, I looked around for other rings with creative settings like theirs; I couldn't find anything else that stood out even remotely. My fiance met with Walter in New York and picked out a beautiful sapphire set in the floral band, and I absolutely love it (though that doesn't mean I don't go to their web site every now and then to browse other rings... their diamonds and rubies are amazing, and I love the diamond cuffs on some of their bands). We are having our wedding bands made with McTeigue and McClelland also: Walter met us in New York and helped us choose matching wrought iron bands with gold inside. They've been lovely to work with, helpful and available but never pushy. I couldn't be happier with my engagement ring, and we can't wait to see our bands. I'm not a jewelry person--I rarely wear anything but my engagement ring--so I love having one thing that's so special and gorgeous.

Throughout the engagement ring selection process I was continually drawn to McII's unique and inspiring designs. Despite visiting a number of the more well-known and venerable institutions in high end jewelry I kept envisioning the McII Flora designs I had seen online. I decided I had to visit McII in G.B. This trip turned out to be the trip of a lifetime and I knew I had found the right place within a few minutes of looking at their Jewelry and speaking with Sam. The pictures do not do justice to the quality of work this group is doing. Initially Sam helped steer me toward the optimum stone from which point we decided on the design with both her and Tim. She helped me base my decisions off not only what I wanted, but also in trying to match a ring to a woman she had never met before. They absolutely put my mind at ease with this big decision and the next few months were great. They kept me posted throughout the fabrication process sending me countless pictures and emails to help capture the journey from beginning to end. The ring turned out to be a one of a kind design which often is the case with McII, and my fiancé adores it. The compliments are flattering and seemingly endless. We took a trip back to G.B. recently for me to share the experience with her and to pick out our wedding bands. Every time I look at her ring it makes me smile thinking not only about the beauty of the ring but also the intimate setting that all meshed together to make this exquisite piece.

I had been eyeing MC2 for a couple of years now. When my fiance and I decided to have our wedding bands made with them, I was thrilled! Samantha Larson not only made the process exciting and smooth, but has become a friend of mine :-) She worked very closely with me to design a wedding band that complements my engagement ring, but is beautiful enough to stand on its own. We knew we were going to work with Asscher stones because that is the center stone in my engagement ring, and Samantha made excellent suggestions to create a band that is vintage-inspired and uniquely engraved! There won't be another wedding band in the world like it, and that's why I cannot WAIT to wear it! Samantha also helped me design my fiance's wedding band and it is so distinguished and gentlemanly - exactly what he wanted. I have no question in my mind that their craftsmanship and attention to detail always result in the most beautiful jewelry. You will never regret working with this jeweler - their jewelry is timeless. I have a feeling we will be coming back again and again for those special pieces in the next 50 years ;-)

My fiancee and I bought my engagement ring from McTeigue and McClelland and we both absolutely adore it. We both fell instantly in love with MC2, particularly because of their combination of beautiful antique stones and vintage inspired settings. They seemed so unique, but yet still classic at the same time (the same can't be said for some of the well-known high-end stores that almost everyone else seems to covet). After finding out how much time, effort and craftsmanship goes into each ring, there was no way that my ring was going to come from anywhere else. So, even though we are based in London and there are lots of great jewellers here too, we committed to a MC2 ring. My fiancee made arrangements for us to celebrate my birthday with a long weekend in Boston and Great Barrington, which turned into the most amazing engagement weekend! Walter and John made us very much at home (their shop is super cute too!), and we even got to stick a pin in the map of the world which depicts where MC2 customers have travelled from (I think it says a lot about a jeweller if customers are willing to travel thousands of miles to buy such an emotionally important piece of jewellery such as an engagement ring!). Since we have returned to the UK, I have had endless compliments about my ring and a couple of people have told me that it is the prettiest ring that they have ever seen. I wouldn't change it for the world and I'm so glad that we bought my special ring from MC2.

McTeigue & McClelland created the perfect engagement ring for me. I very much wanted a ring that was unique - and did not focus on a diamond centre stone. The team at McTeigue & McClelland patiently worked with my fiance and me at both their NY office and at their store in Great Barrington to craft the most gorgeous, vintage-inspired sapphire ring I could imagine. We already talk about passing it on through the generations.

First off, McTeigue & McClelland offer some of the most gorgeous jewelry on the market today. Not only is it beautiful, but the quality of the craftsmanship and materials is top-rate. I purchased an engagement ring from them that blew my fiance away. In addition to the work, the service is also first rate. After purchasing the ring, we met with both Tim and Walter multiple times in their NYC office to make a few adjustments to the size of the ring. They have a lovely little office conveniently located near Rock center. We also plan on shooting up to Great Barrington for a weekend to get some wedding bands made, and possibly scout out a nice surprise wedding gift for my future wife as well. Thanks to Walter, Tim and the entire MC2 team!

My husband and I discovered Mc2 at Gumps in SF. We flew to their Great Barrington, MA office & created a one of a kind, custom engagement ring. Walter & Tim soon felt like family and made our experience unforgettable. My husband met with Walter in their NY office to hand pick the center stone from a selection that Walter picked to go with the ring. After the proposal, we flew back East 6 months later to design our wedding bands. When we walked in, we felt at home & it was like a reunion with the most amazing people. Walter & Tim helped us design the most gorgeous wedding rings (mine compliments my engagement ring). They are so knowledgeable and reliable. We even stopped back the week of our wedding to pick up our rings, shine up my engagement ring & Samantha helped us pick out the most perfect pair of earrings for my wedding day. We have nothing by the highest regards for McTeigue & McClelland. I can't wait to go back and design our 1 year anniversary ring :)
