A Very Shallow Company
By Ritalashmet on 9/3/2014
I own a store and I asked them if they could do anything about those sales on the internet. I mean those outlet had to start somewhere, buy tiles from Sicis. Now I believe that they must be behind some of this because they agued that they cannot do anything about it. My take on this is they benefit perversely from this. People will reach out to them complaining that a store tried to sell them a tile at $45SF while they could buy it for $15 on the internet. They will ask if the customer is a commercial-repeat customer with a business or a retail customer. They will open up an account and sell directly to every single business customers. This is their business model. A store advertise them freely with antiquated 20 years displays on loan, then they sell directly to your largest customers.
The Art of Deception

Sicis is a problematic line to carry for a retailer, not only because it is commercial oriented and doesn't fit in a house in the US but also because parts of the line are available on the internet and sell at a fraction of the normal retail price. Also Sicis will sell directly to your own customer damaging your relationship with them across the board. Once they ask me to have one of my customer open a direct account with them for a 5% kickback, they said, like they had done with a salesperson at Material Marketing. I am a business owner and I refused. They took away the customer nonetheless, even enjoying the situation. They have shady business practices. Stores owners: do not advertise them in your showroom. Do not carry Sicis. They will steal all your large and repeat customers.
