Professional, fast, and all in-house

These rings are top notch. The sales people are knowledgeable (Mel is hilarious and a good guy) and will do what you ask. I just picked up our wedding rings today and am really happy with the product. The quality is incredible and all repairs they can handle right there. Wish I had gotten my fiancé's engagement ring from these guys.

Excellent service, selection, and prices

It was my pleasure working with proprietor Mel and his staff at Wedding Ring Originals in NYC. It's important to note that this store offers quite a large jewelry selection that is not limited to wedding sets. The shop is attentive, courteous, professional, and helpful with great attention to detail. Pricing is quite competitive, the best I found for my item. I comfortably completed my entire transaction over the phone from Colorado without ever setting foot in the shop. My purchase arrived on time and was everything I hoped for. I am very pleased!

So glad I got my ring from Mel!

He was very, very helpful, right from the very beginning. It was an educational experience, and I never felt any of the sales pressure or whatnot that I was used to checking out other shops. The final product is absolutely gorgeous, I couldn't be happier -- it's precisely what I imagined when I first embarked on getting a custom ring made.

Mel and Wedding Ring Originals - A Perfect Match

My fiance and I had been shopping online for weeks before we scheduled an appointment with WRO. I had checked out the list of stores in the NY magazine Wedding issue and was impressed with WRO's inventory. From the initial phone call to schedule an appointment Mel was a pleasure to work with. My fiance and I had an idea of what we were looking for in matching wedding bands and Mel gently guided us with his expert advice and knowledge by schooling us in how to design the bands, how they should feel on your finger, the differences between machine made and custom made etc. He made us feel completely comfortable and we knew he was the jeweler we wanted to purchase our rings from. He helped us with every detail of our custom rings and we could not be happier with the final result. Thank you Mel - it was a pleasure doing business with you!

My fiance and I were holidaying in NYC and knew that rings from overseas were far cheaper than in Australia where everything is stupidly expensive. But of course we knew we needed to be wary. We were actually in Macys and were recommended to go see Mel and Wedding Ring Originals. We are so glad we did. They sized the rings beautifully, had them sent to us extremely promptly. We actually had an issue at customs and Mel helped us sort it out from his end so that we could have them released to us. We also needed more information for a valuation which was sent to us immediately. Just fantastic service and its so great to say our wedding rings game from 5th Ave New York City. The story is as good as the diamonds in my fiances ring! Thanks so much

My fiance and I searched high and low before finding Mel and WeddingRings.com. We made an appointment to see him at his showroom on Fifth Avenue and liked him the minute we walked in. He is personable, funny, and most importantly: he knows his stuff. We expressed what we were looking for and he talked us through it - offering options, ideas, never pushing. In the end, we found the exact wedding bands we wanted and Mel had them done, engraved and ready within two or so weeks (which was approximately 3 weeks out from our wedding date.) He made us laugh and feel at home and his wealth of knowledge and skill was evident. We highly recommend him!

We had only a few days in NYC to get wedding bands and an engagement ring. By chance, after reading a NY Magazine article on various jewelers in the Diamond district, we gave Wedding Ring Originals a call and were warmly greeted by Mel. He listened to what we were looking for, had an immediate sense of it and offered to get an array of diamonds for the next morning for us to choose from. It was exceptional service and the right combination of professional salesmanship balanced with uncommon frankness. He got a great choice in our budget range. Given that we wanted to make sure we got a good deal, we took the time to shop around with other jewelers, but we quickly came back to Mel as his professional demeanor (not lacking a great sense of humor) was unmatched, and his prices were highly competitive. At Wedding Ring Originals they take pride in their workmanship and we recommend them to anyone without reservation.

Talk to Mel first!

Highly recommended. Mel is a total professional and shows his passion and commitment to the customer with every step in the buying experience. No pressure, no up-selling, no deception. We needed two rings within a few days and even though we had no appointment and were looking at mid-range jewelry (no rocks, just fine metals), he spent his time and effort as though we were long time customers purchasing the high end, and delivered the rings spot on time as promised. If you are looking for quality, selection and excellent customer service at a fair price, look no further then Mel and Wedding Ring Originals.

Consummate Professional

Mel has my highest recommendation. He is the most professional and honorable jeweler I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He made my wife's engagement ring, as well as both of our wedding bands. I have also ordered several custom pieces which were all exquisitely hand crafted. In addition, I have referred several others including my brother who also ordered his engagement ring through Mel. The fact that he manufactures his pieces on site is a huge bonus. Save time by going to Mel first for all your jewelry needs!
