I had a very different experience than the people who've written negative things here. First of all, there are two Adriennes stores in Manhattan: one is a bridesmaids boutique, on the west side of Orchard Street; the other is the Adriennes Bridal store, which is the subject of this listing. The people who have a beef with the bridesmaids store didn't shop in Adriennes-Adriennes, apparently? Anyway, I never met anyone named MaryAnn, and I had maybe seven or eight prolonged visits over the last few months. The owner of Adriennes-Adriennes is Gina DeSilva -- not mentioned in any of the negative reviews -- and she designs really pretty, very cool dresses for downtown girls who don't want cheesy bridal-factory monstrosities. Gina did a fab job designing and custom fitting my wedding dress. Very chic, very friendly, no real issues. Maybe the place doesn't run like a ticking Austrian wrist-watch ... but it's an excellent neighborhood choice if you want something chic and different. It was also half the cost of my second choice (at Kleinfelds; now that place is a rip-off, and THOSE dresses are sewn in factories in China!).

i highly recommend NOT going to adrienne's for bridesmaid dresses. very disorganized, unprofessional and a huge headache!!!! maryann, the owner was the least helpful person i have ever experienced. i stood in my dress asking for advice and she gave me one word answers as she was stumbling through paperwork and calling brides to let them know they messed up. i am telling all of my newly engaged friends NOT to go to adrienne's- you should take my advice too!

My experience with Adriennes was awful. I ordered 6 Vera Wang bridesmaid dresses from there and the Owner, Maryann Greco, messed up the alterations on 4 of them. Not only did we have to go back 5 different times for her to fix them 4 days before the wedding, but she was not going to honor the cap on the alterations per our contract. After arguing with her and telling her I was going to take them some where else, then she said she would honor it. Maryann Greco's (the owner) customer service skills are unprofessional to say the least and I will never go there again.

ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT MY EXPERIENCE WITH ADRIENNES WAS AWFUL. MANY FITTINGS, MANY MISCOMMUNICATIONS AND 3 DAYS AWAY FROM THE WEDDING AND THE DRESS DOES NOT FIT. WASTED TOO MUCH TIME AND MONEY ON THIS PLACE.

I went to Adrienne's to purchase my wedding and bridesmaid's gowns after reading the mixed reviews on this and other sites. My experience was a wonderful one. I'll start by saying that Gina has the best knowledge of the many luxurious fabrics and lace that go hand in hand with wedding gowns. She offered very valuable information to me and guided me around her showroom picking out gowns and styles that she knew would compliment my figure. From buying the dress, to the fittings, to walking away with the dress was a dreamy experience and I recommend any brides who want to be treated like the only person who matters to put Adrienne's on the TOP of your bridal-salon-to-visit list. I ♥ Adrienne's

Brides - I am writing to PROTECT YOU! DO NOT order from Adrienne's. Our order was messed up 3 times! We are still fighting to get a refund. This summer (2008) we ordered four Vera Wang bridesmaids dresses from Adrienne's -more than $300 each. We paid for a rush on each dress -extra $100 each. Two weeks later they called saying they made a MISTAKE -the dress we ordered did not come in the color we chose. We chose a second dress. 6 WEEKS LATER they called saying ANOTHER MISTAKE the second dress did not come in the color we had ordered. We chose a third dress. They called saying THEY MADE ANOTHER MISTAKE AND THE THIRD DRESS DID NOT COME IN THE COLOR WE CHOSE! I called the store manager and store owner. They were both VERY RUDE , did not apologize, and actually hung up the phone on me. We already paid for half of the dresses up front and the extra $400 rush fee. We are STILL FIGHTING TO GET A REFUND. I don't want this to happen to you. There are sooo many great NY stores. Go somewhere else.

I am the father of the bride and Maid of Honor. The bridal party purchased 10 Vera Wang dresses from Adrienne's. Two of the 10 dresses came in sized wrong. The two dresses were over 7" to small across the back shoulders. One Brides Maid dress required adding a 7" fabric panel, which was both expensive and changed the design of the dress. The Maid of Honor dress was also about 7" too narrow and couldn;t be altered. The Maid of Honor is petite, so 7' is even more terrible. My daughter did not change sizes in the months it took for the dress to come in to Adrienne’s. We had to quickly purchase another dress for the wedding. After purchase, Adrienne's would not return calls or email and just completely ignored us. They would not even consider discussing getting the correctly sized dress. The Maid of Honor dress was returned to Adrienne’s from where I live in Philadelphia, with photographs of the dress on my daughter. They kept the money and the dress, just another example of Adrienne’s arrogance.

Gina was amazing. Less than 2-weeks before my July '04 wedding, she took me in and did much needed tayloring to my dress. I had had the dress custom made, and the original designer turned out to be a nightmare! Gina fixed my dress, calmed my nerves, took lots of time with me, and only for $300 in fees. She also fixed my mothers dress, and by the end, we were all smiles! She's the best!
