Fabulous! If you know what you want, and are communicative, ignore any negative reviews!

The most gorgeous dress in the world, and 300 other people agreed with me! As MOB, and a former stylist and PR person for designers, I just have to say that my daughters dress was perfect! She was in seventh heaven on her wedding day, and felt beautiful thanks to Maryann. The workmanship was beautiful, her advice was invaluable, and she is a lady of her word. I'm not sure where why there are any negative comments at all? I would recommend wholeheartedly...nothing to do with pricing, everything to do with quality. Thank you Maryann!

I BEG TO DIFFER
By couturedemon on 11/13/2008
I went to Adrienne's to purchase my wedding and bridesmaid's gowns after reading the mixed reviews on this and other sites. My experience was a wonderful one. I'll start by saying that Gina has the best knowledge of the many luxurious fabrics and lace that go hand in hand with wedding gowns. She offered very valuable information to me and guided me around her showroom picking out gowns and styles that she knew would compliment my figure. From buying the dress, to the fittings, to walking away with the dress was a dreamy experience and I recommend any brides who want to be treated like the only person who matters to put Adrienne's on the TOP of your bridal-salon-to-visit list. Adriennes's was the third shop I visited while dress hunting. There was a Jim Hjelm dress that I had fallen madly in love with that I knew they carried, which is why I'd made the appointment in the first place... I knew the dress was way out of my price range, but I just had to see it...so it was beautiful, but not enough to justify blowing the budget... They actually recommended a less expensive dress (jim Hjelm has started a line called "Blush" with dresses that are more casual and less expensive). And it was perfect. (I had done the requisite Kleinfeld's thing--I found it wretched--sales sharks and dismisive of those without a large budget...at Vera Wang, they checked out my ring, and then decided on the level of service they gave me...) we placed the order at Adrienne's and got an email that the dress was in the shop exactly when they'd promised... For my first fitting, the owner of the shop, Maryann, did the fitting herself. She made suggestions and really listened to what I wanted... I've gotten appointments that fit my schedule...and I am wearing a dress that is absolutely perfect for me on my wedding day!
CUSTOM DRESS FROM ADRIENNE'S - LOVED IT
By mguel on 11/30/2010
So I've read the other reviews and can only speak to the custom dress process. I was looking for the most spectacular dress at the most reasonable price, and I think I found it at Adrienne's. I dealt with Gina (the daughter of the owner) from start to finish. She designed the dress and oversaw all of my fittings and everything. It was truly a wonderful experience and I loved the final product. I would highly recommend Adrienne's, but I can only recommend it if you are looking for a custom dress.
Great alternative to "wedding factory" stores like Kleinfeld
By sleepylittlesailor on 7/31/2009
I had a very different experience than the people who've written negative things here. First of all, there are two Adriennes stores in Manhattan: one is a bridesmaids boutique, on the west side of Orchard Street; the other is the Adriennes Bridal store, which is the subject of this listing. The people who have a beef with the bridesmaids store didn't shop in Adriennes-Adriennes, apparently? Anyway, I never met anyone named MaryAnn, and I had maybe seven or eight prolonged visits over the last few months. The owner of Adriennes-Adriennes is Gina DeSilva -- not mentioned in any of the negative reviews -- and she designs really pretty, very cool dresses for downtown girls who don't want cheesy bridal-factory monstrosities. Gina did a fab job designing and custom fitting my wedding dress. Very chic, very friendly, no real issues. Maybe the place doesn't run like a ticking Austrian wrist-watch ... but it's an excellent neighborhood choice if you want something chic and different. It was also half the cost of my second choice (at Kleinfelds; now that place is a rip-off, and THOSE dresses are sewn in factories in China!).
Saved my wedding dress!

Gina was amazing. Less than 2-weeks before my July '04 wedding, she took me in and did much needed tayloring to my dress. I had had the dress custom made, and the original designer turned out to be a nightmare! Gina fixed my dress, calmed my nerves, took lots of time with me, and only for $300 in fees. She also fixed my mothers dress, and by the end, we were all smiles! She's the best!
Disorganized and Terrible Cstomer Service
By lxfallon on 5/13/2012
This place is really, really poorly run. About a year ago, I looked here for a bridal dress, but decided against it because everything was so unorganized. This time I had to go back for a bridesmaid dress and it was a totally mess. PROs: The dress was the right dress and very beautiful CONs: Incredibly unorganized and poorly run business - bring your patience if you decide to shop here, no one answers the phone nor emails. Made an appointment to try on the dress at 11am on Saturday and get fitted for alterations. No one showed up to the store until 11:35am and there were about 8 people waiting. When the owner got there to open the door I wanted to grab the dress and leave but they insisted they had to charge me $75 for the remaining balance of the dress (even though I had already paid it). I also spoke to the bride afterwards and let her know what happened. She informed me that she had to wait over 30min to pick up and pay for the other dresses that she was sending out of town. Overall, every one in the bridal party had a very frustrating experience. RECOMMENDATIONS: The owner needs more help, would make sense for her to have a full time employee just dedicated to making reservations (i.e. picking up the phone) and dealing with billing. It's crazy that none of her employees can make credit cards sales, which causes the owner to constantly go back and forth between stores. Definitely not how I would run a business! I would AVOID this store at all costs!!
Save yourself the headache!

Why oh why did I not read the reviews here first?!? I ordered my bridesmaids dresses from here in September only to find out in November that they were ignoring phone calls from my bridesmaids who were trying to provide sizes and payment info!! Needless to say I cancelled before it could get any worse but I'm still fighting with them to get my refund! This place is ridiculous. I'm only glad I found out early enough to undo the damage.

My experience with Adriennes was awful. I ordered 6 Vera Wang bridesmaid dresses from there and the Owner, Maryann Greco, messed up the alterations on 4 of them. Not only did we have to go back 5 different times for her to fix them 4 days before the wedding, but she was not going to honor the cap on the alterations per our contract. After arguing with her and telling her I was going to take them some where else, then she said she would honor it. Maryann Greco's (the owner) customer service skills are unprofessional to say the least and I will never go there again.
