Very poor service and rude sales people

When one of their multi-hundred dollar hair ornaments breaks after a short amount of time they are most unhelpful. They do not replace the item and do not refund your money. They say they will send your hair ornament back to France for repair. Four months later still nothing and they have no information for you. They claim they do not know where it is. This New York Shopping website states they are in touch with the people in France daily. Buy the same hair ornaments in Bergdorf Goodman or other department stores where they are polite, care about keeping you as a customer, replace immediately or refund your money.

I just returned from the post office having mailed in a $60+ barrette that broke the first time I wore it (purchased end of June '09). I called the store, and as noted in the other review, they stated they could only send it to Paris for repair. I think this is absurd, and hope I don't have the same experience as the other shopper who, four months after returning her defective barrette, is still waiting for the repair. If the same happens to me, and they don't give me a new one or credit my card, I will report them to American Express and Andrew Cuomo!!! They might have unique products, but come on...I feel like a sucker that I bought over $200 worth of barrettes there. Even the tortoise shell barrettes sold at your corner drugstore are made in France, for goodness sake.

i am all for hairbands! i must have over thirty, and being in my thirties, it may seem a tad excessive... as i am not anywhere near my former six year old self. i feel that they add polish to my look, and keep the hair away from the face. that being said-- i buy my hair accessories from department stores, or my local fav zitomer. and coming accross this delightful little boutique- it was like heaven, with a hefty price tag. $500 hair bands! hand made and from paris, but that just seems like too much to spend on my hair accessories. i will spend $100 at the most, and have, but these prices are out of this world-- but oh so delicious, and extravagant. maybe i will save up my pennies for a smaller hair clip instead.
