Like a dream...

Reading all the glowing articulate reviews that have been written so far about Angelo Lambrou, it's hard to know what else there is to say. When I went to seek out a wedding dress, I knew that I wanted something simple, beautiful, and uniquely me. Most of all I didn't want to feel like I was playing dress up in a bride costume. Angelo and Laura were so supportive and amazing every step of the way. They were completely committed to helping me achieve my vision and incorporated all of my design preferences with openness. The result was an insanely comfortable dress that made me feel like a goddess. I couldn't count the number of times people told me that it was the most beautiful wedding dress they'd ever seen. But my favorite part was how wonderfully it moved on the dance floor. I felt like a little girl again twirling in my fancy party dress!! I think I'll be taking my dress out from time to time just to twirl in it :-)

Finding a wedding gown can be a miserable experience...or it can be wonderful. I had no idea what kind of dress I was looking for and I went to many different places- from a cheap one on the lower east side- to a huge store in NJ- and then Angelo Lambrou. The smile that you are greeted with at every visit is so comforting. The fabrics they use feel like butter on your skin. Angelo & Laura were so easy to work with- they want you to love your dress, they don't want to just sell you a dress. They are true craftsman who are open to ideas & create designs that are truly unique and, in my opinion, more beautiful than any other designer out there. Guests told me my dress was the most beautiful dress they've ever seen & though I know people often say that to a bride- I think they meant it. The only thing I miss about planning a wedding is going to my fittings. I may pretend to get married again just so I can work with them and wear another dress made by Angelo.

Everything about my experience at the Angelo Lambrou boutique with Angelo and Laura was extraordinary! I was looking for a wedding dress and they made me the dress of my dreams. I went in with a few ideas, including some thoughts about color and budget, which they listened to closely. Angelo then used his creative eye and talents to design a unique dress that suited me and fit beautifully. He attended to every fold and detail with complete precision. Laura was incredibly supportive and kept me sane and the entire process on schedule and running smoothly. She also added the final touches that made the dress sparkle. Working with them was a total pleasure.

I found Angelo Lambrou's store unexpectedly, while searching through all of the typical bridal boutiques. After a full day of shopping at different stores in Manhattan, I was surprised to find that the owner of the boutique and the designer was the person helping me select a gown there. When Angelo suggested that we create a custom gown I immediately assumed that we would be out of my price range, but Angelo sketched a gorgeous, one of a kind gown that was perfect for my figure and my budget! Going to all of my fittings with Angelo and Laura was a pleasure, and my dress was beginning to look so amazing, that we had Angelo design a dress for my mother to wear at the wedding as well. Overall, my mother and I both had beautiful dresses and a lovely shopping experience.

After far too many cookie-cutter shopping experiences, I went to Angelo Lambrou and found a fabulous wedding dress that was perfectly customized for me. Angelo and Laura were friendly, fun, and the whole experience was a delight. The price was reasonable, too. If you're looking for a unique, beautiful, and affordable wedding dress, I completely recommend Angelo Lambrou!

After visiting a few stores and getting a bit overwhelmed over so many choices, my friend told me about Angelo. Since I trust her taste in fashion, I went to check out right away. On my first visit, I found my dress! I loved his detailed touch on layers and cut. The fabric was also nice. I liked how I looked in his dress very much. Angelo and Lauras people skill was also superb. They are so down to earth and I was able to pick my dress with normal state of mind. They also gave me helpful tips on underwear and shoes (No typical wedding shoes! so I chose a pair of purple high heels with a big square crystal on toes, which everyone loved). One of things I still appreciate to this date was Angelos advice. I was quite nervous about my wedding and he told me to think of it as a big party with my beloved friends & family, and just relax and enjoy. Its a simple advice, but his happy and positive energy added some magic to his word. Thanks for the lovely dress with fabulous experience, Angelo and Laura!

Purchasing my dress from Angelo Lambrou was easily the best part of my wedding planning experience. As soon as I arrived at the boutique, I knew I would buy my dress there. The dresses were beautiful and clean, the boutique is comfortable and welcoming, and the customer service is phenomenal. Both Angelo and his assistant, Laura, are an absolute delight to work with. I miss them (and their wine after a long week of work) now that I no longer have fittings! Angelo is a genius at making the dress look good on your body, and my favorite thing about Laura is her honesty -- she gave me straightforward and right-on opinions that I knew I could trust. I received many compliments on the dress. Guests commented that they had never seen such a perfect dress for a beach/destination wedding because it was flowy and natural-looking, yet not too casual. It was the perfect balance of classic, modern, and sexy. I felt fantastic on my wedding day. I hope to dye the dress and keep it as a formal gown, because I can't imagine not being able to wear the most beautiful dress I own again!

Angelo Lambrou is the place to go if you want both a dress and an experience. The shop is an oasis with beautiful, funky, and chic dresses that inspire and excite. Sip a glass of wine, look through the soft, luscious silks on the rack, talk to Angelo about your dream, and see a vision take shape. I had my dress made and loved the process of sketching and discussing, seeing the dress evolve through several fittings, and then watching it transform at the end with tiny, but dazzling finishing touches. I love my dress and felt so great knowing it was one-of-a-kind.

Ive never written a review for anyone, ever, I swear. But coming back from my wedding in Argentina, one of the first things I wanted to do was hug Angelo and Laura. I tried on count em 37 dresses until I stepped in their quaint, intimate, downtown shop. I knew this place was different. And when they offered me a glass of cold pinot grigio (the good stuff) I was already halfway sold. The dresses were more beautiful than what I saw on their website- pure silk and fine detail doesnt translate on a webpage, whether it has Flash or not. I was getting married in HOT Buenos Aires. I wanted something eccentric, vintage, comfortable, but sexy oh and of course ...different. Angelo Lambrou delivered more: personal 1 on 1 appointments, unlimited alterations, his fine eye on every detail with fun suggestions, and the support of his assistant Laura that never let more than 12 hours go by without responding to an email/call. Angelo Lambrou is what wedding dress shopping should be. Personal, never rushed, focused on the celebration of life and love, and so accommodating. I highly recommend.
