A N T H R O P O L O G I E is uniformly & singularly EXCELLENCE in in the retail industry. Love the unique styles & the brilliant informed inspiring French, Italian,Multi-Cultural influences in the wonderful home furnishings. Customer service is personal,friendly & on the whole very good. Just one downside,...it's known to induce strange hostility from other retailers,but they're slow learners!

I made the mistake of ordering some overpriced merchandise online because, as the promotional message went, I would get free "gift wrapping". Not only the box came in with a ridiculous wrapping (half the box was covered since wrapping paper did not cover the whole box, it was taped to the sides, no yarn, no wrapping), but when I contacted customer service, they were rude and dismissive. A big mistake I would never repeat again for sure.

You're immediately drawn into a world of whimsy and color, moving from adorable picture frames to unusual plates, ruffled skirts, hardware, French tins, large initials that can be used for crafts. It's a poutourri, somebody's imaginative collection, a fun place great for yourself or for buying a gift. Prices are fair and you'll find things you won't find elsewhere. Stock keeps changing.

I enjoy shopping here,although they did away with the mens department several years ago.A fun place to browse, and shop.Old stuff, new stuff.lotsa candles.Accessories,Ladies Apparel, Kitchenware,stuff for the kitchen,the bath,the bar,the psyche.And if you get a bit tired, you can also grab one of the chairs,or sofas and read one of the interesting books such as "A girls Interpretation Of Movies"At times, you may spot the cute white cat,resting on the antique bed,in the Soho store.
