Terrible customer service! Wont ever shop there again!

No, I would not go back!

I recently made an online order of estee lauder products with them. It was advertising gifts with purchase. I made my order of over $100 on the first day the promotion started. Then when I received my items a week later. The GWP was missing. I called the hotline and i was replied with "while stocks last." The company made NO effort in informing the customers that items are out of stock. The customer service representatives are rude and unhelpful! I was told even if I decided to ship back the order, they will deduct $9.95 for return!!! I wish there is an actual mall nearby, then I will definitely return everything. Ugh... But lesson learned -- I will ever shop there again!!!

No, I would not go back!

I placed an order online and requested overnight delivery. First my order was lost, and representative told me that my address does not exist, but credit card was charged. Finally in one month I received my order (which was a gift and I didn't need it anymore). I brought all item back to the store. I thought it was just an accident. In few weeks I placed another order online. My order was canceled by the store. I called and talk to some very unpleasant representative, who told me that my address is fraudulent and they not going to ship any merchandise to that address. Surprised I ask for reason of " fraudulent address". And the reason was: Someone (store has name of the customers) was placing an order using my address. I don't think that a world class store can have such a disgusting service and unprofessional arrogant customer service. Much more pleasure to shop at Saks Fifth Avenue. Stay away from Bergdorf Goodman "World Class" Store!!!

Excellence in every aspect...very gracious service par excellence & exquisite selections, second to absolutely none! So marvellously special is Bergdorf Goodman one regularly finds many unusual & extraordinarily artful pieces, unparalleled anywhere in NYC or anywhere else, for that matter ! Won't waste precious irreplaceable time & energy going anywhere else because THIS is the one store that satisfies every sybaritic fashion & divine domicile desire, all in one delightful visit !

New York has some wonderful places to buy cosmetics but I adore Bergdorf. Janet at the Estee Lauder counter has taken amazing care of me over the years and she is not an exception either! Every counter is lovely. No one snubs you at all. Its a little indimidating, sure, it's Bergdorf, but once you calm down about it you realize that the service is wonderful and the salespeople are all eager to help. I go there just to play and that's ok too. Bergdorf is a must if just for the thrill of walking out with your Estee Lauder moisturizer in a fabulous Lavender Bergdorf shopping bag!

Yes, I would go back!

I went to Bergdorf's to buy myself the most wonderful shoes I could find for my wedding. Although I had gotten there only 15 minutes before closing, the salesman (who I love) and the staff were gracious and very helpful. Every shoe was more beautiful than the next causing me to try on many pairs, but they helped me pick the right ones. I even ended up with ones that were on sale. I love it and will try to go there first for luxury goods from now on!

Old-school charm

Bergdorf's was a very special shopping experience compared to when I visited Macy's and Bloomies, which were far more crowded. It has a very European feel to it, what with all the leading designers to choose from and the very exclusive feel to shopping here. I rate customer service here second to none- staff were very helpful, polite and not at all as aloof as some of them might seem. I found so many beautiful gifts to take back home. The mens store across the street is a very smart affair, though the prices are much higher for imported brands. But if you feel like a splurge in style, then THIS is the place to head.

So,you are an older,mature very sophisticated person,on the conservative, side?(Or young and have lots of bucks to spend?) You want to buy a Chanel, A Christian Dior,Gucci,Prada, and all those "I am A Trend Follower, and have much money to spend?. Well this is the place for you to be.Forget the fact that around the corner, on 57th, you have the individual stores that sell the same items,but here, you have them all under one roof.Here,the salespeople are so intelligent, and knowlegeable, that they may or may not wait on you, depending on their mood,The store has survived with a loyal following for over 70 years.Grandma,where are you?.

All hail Bergdorf Goodman! The unrivaled sovreign of midtown couture continues to provide a wide selection of labels and many services, too. Be careful when brining cash or cards to the store, as the fashion and accessories will make you want to spend your life savings. The separate boutiques create an air of elegance and privacy, while the friendly sales staff are usually ready to help. The new, improved shoe salon will blow your mind. Uninterested husbands/boyfriends can cross Fifth to visit the Men's Store or rest in one of the Men's Lounges.

Service vs. bargains

This grande dame of NY stores is best known for its excellent selection of clothes and its famed shoe salon. Go when you want to treat yourself, because bargains don't come often around these parts. Personally, except for floors 1,5,& 6, I find the staff and hushed quiet of shopping there a bit intimidating. Still, some of the staff are room temperature and v. accomodating with sizes and returns.
