The Men's colthing targets a niche market: Those who dwell in urban, hip (not hipster), worldly, and fashion-matured communities -- sounds like a perfect catch in NYC. There are brands such as Steven Alan, APC, Felix, etc. This is by far my favorite store in NYC (born and raised) yet. Small in size, the shop is rather soothing and relaxing -- not overwhelming. The people who work there are extremely nice, down to earth, and definitely know what looks good on you. You leave Bird with the feeling that such a shop must be your little secret. Unfortunately, it is expensive. That isn't there fault though! The clothing is relatively in the same price range as if the pieces were in their respective company stores. Thus, Bird's competitive advantage is that they offer many different fashionable brands and lines in one cute place - a chill mini-Barney's.
