I took my dog here for nearly two years on a bimonthly basis for grooming and occasionally used the vet services. During the latter half of 2013, the quality of the grooming dropped off dramatically - to the point that the groomer would claim each time that my dog had to be "shaved" because of nonexistent matting. Each time they did this, of course, my dog suffered from razor burn. Further, they obviously are not trained to properly perform gland expression (as I learned after taking her somewhere new and seeing how much more comfortable she was). The last time I went here, in November, the cut was particularly atrocious, my dog was obviously unhappy, and I complained to the manager who brushed my concerns off. Then i sent a detailed email to the customer service department that was also ignored. As a last resort, I disputed the charges with my credit card company, who investigated and just this past week closed the investigation and refunded the charges. Then, today, B&B again charged my credit card. Not only is this ridiculously bad business practice (this is the first review I have ever written about anything), it is blatantly illegal.

My vet told me not to take my dog here, and my vet was right!B&B is negligent.I left my dog there while I was on a business trip to LA for 3 days.When I arrived at B&B,I told the rep on duty that my dog had a free pass for the stay.She said she was aware & my dog would be fine.When I returned to NYC, the rep charged me for the full stay.I explained,again,that my dog had a free pass.She then told me that I would have to pay,if I wanted my dog back.She told me she would talk to the owner, John Zeigler, & would call me.I waited 2 days.I went to B&B & asked to speak to Mr. Zeigler.He & the rep were unavailable.I was reassured by a 2nd rep that I would be called at noon. I never received a call.I emailed Mr. Zeigler & the reps involved.The response I received was nasty, & they called the previous owner & asked the previous owner to pay for my now personal bill without my knowledge or consent.Really?The whole time my dog was referred to as a "doggie",an attempt at feigned endearment.The staff does NOT care about anything but making a profit & protecting Mr. Zeigler, whom one never sees.It's a living nightmare in technicolor...the Wizard of Oz gone haywire!If you bring our dog here, don't forget to wear your green-colored glasses, because appearance is not reality:your dog will not be treated like Toto.

I've been using Biscuits and Bath's services since I brought my dog Bogart home in Dec. We started out with dog walking service but soon learned that Bogart has some separation anxiety problems and have since enrolled him in daycare while we work to make him more comfortable being alone. We've been using their in home training services to work on the separation anxiety and hope to have him down to 3 days of daycare in a few months. Their trainers have been amazing! Always willing to talk to me on the phone or answer questions via email. You get the feeling that the REALLY care about your dog. I think it's great for him to play and socialize with other dogs during the day. Bogart can be a handful - to say the least - he is a large excitable dog who can be a little too excitable for certain dogs. This means that sometimes he does spend time in time out if there isn't another dog that matches his play style around. The staff has been amazing in indentifying dogs that Bogart plays well with and making sure they get time together. Dogs will be dogs. They fight, they spread germs, they don't always get along with every dog they meet. It's like having a kid, you have to communicate with the people watching them all day. I feel like my husband and I have really developed a relationship with Biscuits and Bath's staff - from the handlers, to the trainers, to the customer service and front desk staff - and we really appreciate everything they do for us.

They also shut my dogs face and paw in the door in front of me in 2 separate situations.

Even though its the law they do not always check vaccinations. They did not check my dogs but insisted they had 3 times so I believed them that he was all set and signed him up. He ended up with a severe case of Bordetella because he was missing that vaccine. David Maher a senior customer service rep admitted their "mistake" (reckless negligence if you ask me) but they refuse to pay any medical bills. The health department is now looking into the "unsanitary conditions" at their UES location. They exposed my dog to a risk that could have killed him because they were negligent and did not call me to tell me he was sick. They left him in the room with other dogs despite the mass amount of mucus coming out of his nose and his fever and lethargy. He was not taken to a vet despite the fact that they advertise vet supervised care. They claimed they couldn't tell he became ill. It was extremely obvious so that says they weren't watching.

I took my dog to spend the day at Biscuits and Bath. When we got home a few blocks later, I noticed her front leg was bloody and raw and one of her toenails on her back leg was caked in blood and had been ripped off. When I called to complain (after waiting on hold for 15 minutes), the staff took no responsibility and even tried to blame me for her wounds! I will never ever take my dog back. If you love your dog, stay away from this place!

It's odd I see so many nasty reviews for this place I bring my dog to the Upper East Side location and they are the greatest! they are realistic and caring and Fred the manager is one of the most reasonable people I have ever met. The staff is a diverse, friendly bunch that all look like they stepped out of Ambercrombi and Fitch and they are always cleaning and moving. I wouldn't trust my little guy to anyone else. Though I had a little sticker shock at first, I realize the benefits outweigh the cost. For the people who have a problem with B and B it's free roam and cage free if you don't like the risk, you can put your dog in a box all day but that makes you irresponsible. I urge you to go!

10 days ago, one of my dogs was severely bitten during day care at Biscuits and Bath. She suffered puncture wounds to her thigh. Biscuits and Bath did not notify me that there had been an issue and as a result, she had to undergo surgery to remove necrotic tissue from the wound as well as 6 stitches. PLEASE, PLEASE do not entrust the care of your dogs to Biscuits and Bath. They are irresponsible, negligent, and provide horrible customer service.

My dog was supposed to be dropped off at home after an afternoon of daycare and grooming. The Columbus location gave their shuttle driver the wrong apartment number. Building security provided the driver with access to this apartment (the wrong apartment) where my 10 year old dog sat in a panic for over an hour while I tried to convince the Biscuits and Bath employees that my dog had in fact NOT been dropped off at home. The staff was rude, condescending, unsympathetic and the owner didn't even have the courtesy to return my voicemail. My credit card was even charged for the grooming AND the shuttle service fee!
