wish boing boing was in manhattan

Yes, I would go back!

i went to boing boing because i find the upper breast side shop to be pretentious and somewhat degrading. boing boing employees were helpful, and kind. i love all their products. they need a better selection of nursing tops though. nursing bra selection is excellent, as is pumps (that's where we got ours), baby clothes are adorable. i wish they had the Boob Design tops! and of course were in manhattan!

Essential needs for new mom

Yes, I would go back!

They had everything I needed, and weren't pushy at all. I had to look around to find certain items, like maternity belt, but I came back for my nursing bras and sling. They have the BEST prices in the neighborhood, and equal to or less than online. Huge selection of nursing bras and carriers, super nice staff, cold water and a place to sit and nurse. Ahhh...

An essential store for all new parents!

Yes, I would go back!

When my friends told me I'd be at Boing Boing every day, I didn't believe them. Meanwhile, since having my baby, I have been there almost every day! I got my nursing bra, Ergo, rented a pump, etc...there. They are always nice, and never make you hurry, or pressure you to buy anything. The nursing chair in the back is also a real convenience to hurried new mommies! LOVE it!

The Motherlode of Park Slope

Yes, I would go back!

I signed up for a new mothers group here, and now there are over 60 of us who have met through them. They are doing an invaluable service. The owner is amazing, and very committed to helping you through being a new mommy. I have nursed my baby there, met friends there, and love that I can support a local store that I can walk to. A real "gem" of a store, as that other person wrote.

More than just a store

I spend so much time in this place, unlike any other. There are very few stores like this anymore, a real service oriented,community based shop. I feel like I'm back in Berkeley in the 70's with the owner walking around barefoot! Their breastfeeding supplies and bras surpass all other stores, and their prices are very competitive; much lower than the newer, more "precious" stores like Area and Romp. They stock the essentials; with a terrific selection of slings, nursing bras, nursing shirts, and wooden toys. They are very sensitive to the needs of new parents, and have loads of information available. If they don't have it, they'll send you to someone who does.

The only store of its kind

I don't know what I would've done without this place. After our baby was born early, we went in to get a pump. I was a wreck. The owner was so compassionate, and so helpful, my husband and I actually felt energized when we left! It's so exhausting to be pumping and worrying about our little girl in the nicu, but we met another couple in the same situation while we were there. (DIfferent hospitals; we are glad we chose Methodist) I think this is part of the charm of Boing Boing, it really is a community center. We rented our pump there,(I chose the classic over the symphony) and browsed around at all the things we will come back for. And we will be back-for the fun stuff next time!

I am so happy this store is still here for my second child. I came here every day when my 1st was born, and now I'm back again. In that time, the store has just gotten better and better. They have the best selection of nursing bras, and just like 5 years ago, there is no time limit with returning them! That is just one of the ways they are customer friendly. The owner is truly dedicated to serving the needs of her customers, and it shows.

I got spare parts for my pump, a belabumbum lace nursing bra, my Kangaroo Korner sling, and tons of other things here. The emphasis being on things I NEEDED. Lots of stores in PS have opened since they did, and I could care less about one more baby clothing store overcharging me for some trendy onesie. This store always seems to know what new parents need, and never pressure you to get more than that. I love the workers there, who are always respectful and helpful when I need.

A Brooklyn Landmark

I have shopped here for both my kids, and they always seem to have what I need. I got my moby wrap there, but also my first sling for my first child. Their nursing bra selection is a bit overwhelming, with so many choices, but you can try them on until you find what you like. I love the cocoa lace belabumbum nursing bra I got there, for a lot less than I saw it at other stores. They keep all pump spare parts behind the counter, so stock up on those 99cent valves! They also have a free breastfeeding support group, and have just always been a welcoming place for new parents.

Yes, I would go back!

Nursing bras. Slings. Breast Pump rentals. Breasfeeding support and meeting groups. Organic baby blankies and layette. Bamboo baby clothing. Necessary books like Healthy Sleep Habits, Fun books like Baby's First Tattoo. More than you can imagine, but never more than you need, and never more than what you can spend. The best prices, the best place. The first place of its kind, glad it's still here for me.
