Shopper Beware

I purchased several items for gifts at Bonpoint and found it necessary to return one item. As per the store's policy, a credit slip was issued in the amount of $387.00 dollars. Credit slip is good for one year. Two months after purchase I attempted to use the credit slip and was refused, because their "computer system was down." I nevertheless spent $1,355.77 at the store and the store is refusing to honor the $387.00 credit slip. I was told that Mrs. Rosenthal, the owner, will call me she has not after 2 weeks. I guess I will have to file a suit in Small Claims Court to recover the monies that are due me. Any suggestions?
