I spent a weekend in NY and had several appointments at shops all over the city. When I walked into Bridal Garden, I was really hoping to find my dress there. They have a good selection and a much more relaxed feel. Besides finding an amazing dress that I never could have afforded if I'd paid retail, I also love that my money is going to a good cause. Gina was wonderful. I told her my style and she pulled several dresses and gave me great ideas as to how to tailor the dress. Overall, I found an elegant dress for a great price and my money went to help a school. What could be better than that?!
Service and selection in full bloom!

I visited the Bridal Garden yesterday after having explored several other bridal shops in New York and CT. I had originally purchased a gown at a larger warehouse type of dress shop and was not happy with it when I got it home. So my quest for the perfect dress continued. The positive reviews i had read about the Bridal Garden were absolutely accurate! I was the last appointment of the day - and didn't really know what to expect. Before my scheduled time, I received a call from the lovely bridal consultant Gina, inviting me to come in earlier due to a cancellation. She could not have been more accommodating. Upon my arrival, she made me feel right at home, set me up with a dressing room and helped me select and try on several dresses. She is clearly a pro who knows how to treat her customers, but also knows a lot about her featured high end designers. She also gave me some terrific advice for alterations regarding changing the train on the dress I chose. There seemed to be lots of styles from sheaths to ballgowns for every taste available. Net net, i bought my dream 'sample' dress there - really it was exactly what i had been looking for - an elegant, strapless Ines DiSanto at 75% off the original retail price. The dresses were gorgeous, and Gina was terrific - she really made me feel like i could take my time but was there to offer me assistance the second i needed it. You must check out the Bridal Garden!

Just got home from the Bridal Garden, where I had such a lovely, smooth experience. Gina was wonderful, the selection was extraordinary, and I found the dress of my dreams. Everyone was so friendly -- whole thing was so much easier than I had imagined finding a wedding dress would be! Would recommend Bridal Garden to anyone looking for a designer dress for huge discounts.
Brides looking to share the love!

had just come from an overpriced, overdone, bridal shop which I will not name, but you've probably seen it on TV - and walking into the Bridal Garden was a breath of fresh air. I found tons of great dresses at unbelievably low prices. Yes, I had to do a little work myself (what bride doesn't!), but the dresses were thoughtfully organized and the women working were so sweet. My dress was a steal!! and it's great to know I've made a contribution to a more than deserving cause. It's all about the love, right ladies? that's what Bridal Garden is circulating & thank you for all you do!"
Satisfy your style and your conscious

When I first entered Bridal Gardens I was a bit overwhelmed. There were hundres of dresses hanging in plastic bags and several brides trying them on. Gina welcomed me, showed me around and told me to take my time and feel free to try on as many dresses as I pleased. I selected several and had to wait around 10 minutes for a dressing room. It took me a while to hit my stride. After I started trying on dresses the staff was quite helpful, I was there alone and had nobody to help zip, snap and button the backs. Without asking they swooped in and rescued me from exposing more that I had intended. I tried on a few dresses and was becoming despondant because nothing seemed to work. Then I told Gina what I was really looking for, minutes later she arrived with a gorgeous gown in my size which fit perfectly and looked amazing. I was set! This all took no longer than an hour! After purchasing my gown she gave me referrals for shoes and tailoring. All-in-all a very satisfying experience and one that will help an important charity!

My mom and I just got home from buying my wedding dress at the Bridal Garden- it was a wonderful day. Gina is amazing- so helpful and sweet. She gives her honest opinion in a very kind way too! If you are a bride in the tri-state area, you MUST visit the Bridal Garden!
great place to find a couture dress for pennies!

My mom, sister and I had a wonderful experience. The service, although not one-on-one, was exceptional. Having been to other designer dress shops, such as Mark Ingram, you should be prepared to pick out your own dresses rather than have someone bring them to you. However, that is a small price to pay for the designer gowns and the helpful friendly service. I found the most amazing Christina Wu dress, so unique, so beautiful for $600! I would definitely recommend this place to any bride...
Plus Size Brides
By Tinav1 on 5/14/2008
This place you have to go too. I am a plus size bride and I didn't expect for them to have anything in my size and thought I would go just in case. When I went I was surpised on the selection of dresses to choose from and they were not ugly. Which is a problem for Plus Size women and there had many designers also. I did not buy my dress from Bridal Garden but I would recommend all brides to go. Sana the sales person that helped me was very nice and helpful, she gave many suggestions on the dresses I tried on and there was no pressure to buy. I plan on donating my dress after my wedding. Happy shopping brides.
Not to be missed!

I went to the Bridal Garden twice before buying a gown there, but I've been to enough bridal stores to know how truly terrific and unique this place is! First - the service is top notch. It was very busy while I was there, but the ladies were still helpful, good natured, and had kind suggestions for everyone. I got the feeling that they really did want me to find the dress of my dreams, one that I felt beautiful in, but at the same time, there's no pressure to hurry up or buy now. Next - I was really impressed with the selection and quality of the dresses. I've been to other sample sales, and the discounted prices didn't begin to make up for filthy hems and ripped seams. The Bridal Garden's dresses are in great condition. They have range of sizes and so many lovely things to choose from. One recommendation - make an early appointment! It was wonderful to have the whole place to ourselves for a short while.
- The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
- If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
- Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
- Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
