Check out ROCK STAR CRYSTALS for UNIQUE Beading Supplies

Not so easy to get beading supplies in Brookly, so this store is GREAT. You might also want to check out ROCK STAR CRYSTALS in Manhattan for unique beading supplies. The store is owned by the same people who brought you STONED in Park Slope (which is now closed) and although they are not quite a bead store or jewelry supply store, they do have natural gemstone beads, cabachons, undrilled tumbled stones, crystal points, small mineral clusters and lots of other items cut dfrom gemstones which are great for wrapping or mounting. Call them at 212 675 3065 or go to www.rockstarcrystalsmanhattan.com

Love this place. I went in here knowing nothing about beading in order to make a gift, and couldn't have felt more helped. The stores lets you spend as much time as you like browsing and using their tools at a shared workspace (and I'm pretty sure there's no fee for using the tools--not sure why the article says there is). Have never had a bad experience with the staff, who are always very friendly and eager to help. This has become my new go-to place for any sort of personalized gift items.

  • If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
  • Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
  • Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
