I'm new to the neighborhood, having recently moved here from Berlin. Butter reminds me of my favorite stores from home, the understated, intelligent design, reduced colors and general aesthetic of the store. Beautiful selection of jewelry and great shoes. I found the service to be warm and friendly there as well as in their store next door, (which is a little easier on the budget.) I'll definitely be a regular.

wow .... i love this store !!!!! I been thinking about buying a pair of Roberto de Carlo shoes I saw there last week. I bought a great rag & bone shirt and met the owners... they were great fun and so helpful and they let me shop in peace. They told me if i was unsure about the shirt i could think about it and come back another day. Great shopping experience, I will be back soon.

I have to say I know what some of these other reviews are about, but let me tell you my last trip to Butter was the best. I live in Manhattan and I love to get out of the city for an afternoon of shopping in Brooklyn. I always go to Boreum Hill. The local vibe on Atlantic avenue is so refreshing and my shopping experience was even better at Butter. I have always liked the aesthetic of the store but I can see they have grown. Better brands than before and great service. I will be back soon!

find a shop that has all of your favorites is very difficult. every time I go to butter it just gets better and better. now a beagle named ross rules the store which makes it more of a treat to check it out.
