Yes, I would go back!

I have also been using Cameo for years and always recommended Cameo to friends and family because they do great alterations and can get any stain out of any fabric. And I have trusted them with delicate pieces and things of that nature. While they still do excellent work with dry cleaning and good work with alterations, there has been a recent decline with customer service. The staff that customers interact with at the front of the store and on the phone has changed. I recently had a problem with Cameo failing to deliver an item on the scheduled date. I needed this item to wear to a particular event and told them. I was assured it would be delivered on Friday, the day before the event. It was not delivered as scheduled. I called on Friday to inquire and was told that they would deliver on Saturday even though it isn't a regular delivery date. On Saturday it was not delivered and no one called me to tell me it wouldn't be delivered. This is the second time in a year that an item wasn't delivered on schedule. However, the first time the problem occurred, the staff was much better about handling the situation and was more pro-active about explaining and promptly correcting. My review would be a 10+ if the customer service was better and Cameo was more reliable with timing of delivery. As I've said, they do exceptional dry cleaning work.

Amazing

3 Years ago everything in my closet was saturated in filthy water from a water pipe break in my upstairs neighbor's apartment. The wet clothes were covered in black gunk and the dyes bled between the fabrics. I was certain that I had lost my entire wardrobe including my wedding gown. But, I found Cameo Cleaners and they performed the impossible. They instructed me to do nothing, came immediately, carefully bagged the clothes and miraculously, somehow they did the impossible; they saved almost everything. They are incredible cleaners, and the Pozniak's are wonderful people who will always go above and beyond for their customers.

I have been a client of Cameo Cleaners for over 20 years, having been recommended to them by the Pickiest Person on Earth; I am the second Pickiest. The Pozniak family owners and their polite, cheerful and efficient staff welcome special requests and always call (all of my telephone numbers) if there is any question about how to treat a garment. You can depend on them for vetted expertise about treating all stains and fabrics. For a friend-of-friend, from out-of-town, they pulled out all the stops to repair and clean her very fancy, fragile gown with only hours before a formal event. Once, yes one time, in twenty years, a white blouse of mine went missing. Cameo Cleaners was in touch with me promptly, providing a generous remedy. Then, they stayed on the case, checked their delivery logs thoroughly, chatted with several of the doorstaff at my building and found the blouse - mistakenly delivered by a doorperson to another resident. That resident is now a customer at Cameo, too. Overall a great value for long-term garment care - great work, great service and they do the right thing. Try them!

I have been taking my clothes to Cameo for years and would recommend them highly to anyone. I am extremely picky about my clothes. The people at Cameo take great care with everything. They are excellent communicators and always call me with any questions they have, estimates if the job will be particularly expensive, etc. They are also very honest when dealing with stains which may be impossible or very costly to remove, which I appreciate very much. The tailoring is terrific and very resourceful. I have brought in some crazy things, like a baseball cap to be better fitted to my head. Jerry jumped right on it and I now have (for once in my life) a baseball cap that fits. They have also beautifully cleaned and preserved my wedding dress. They approach every type of cleaning or alteration challenge with a "can-do" attitude - and do a wonderful job. They are also willing to do non-chemical cleaning when possible and have been very responsive to my request for less packaging materials. Cameo definitely rates an A-plus!

It's Lonely at the Top

Why is it that whenever something or someone is praised there is always someone waiting in the wings to attack!? I've never had a better dry cleaner. There is no dispute that they are not the least expensive, but they are worth every cent and worth a hard look. If you have an article of clothing you are convinced has lived it's life to its fullest or has been prematurely shortened by stain or tear just bring it to Jerry. Thanks Jerry and keep it up Alistony

Best Tailor in town

I had a dress of mine altered and needed it right away, they were great about rushing the order and the results were amazing! I've taken in other things for cleaning and am always impressed with the professional and tidy packaging, my clothes never looked so good. I use their free pick-up and delivery and am always pleased with the customer service, very pleasant and courteous.

I am posting a second review because of the other review which was posted twice. As a long standing client of Cameo Cleaners I have always received excellent, polite service. The quality of the pressing is second-to-none and the owner, Jerry, is an expert in stain removal.

I have been using Cameo Cleaners for the last 3 years and they always do a great job. I have a lot of clothes by designers that are difficult to clean. I was using an "up town" dry cleaner for these items until I was stuck one day and I needed my favorite Zach Posen dress cleaned. I brought it in to Cameo and wow, they did a better job than who I was using before. The staff is great, they always give me a call if they have questions plus they have a great seamstress at the shop as well. They are more expensive than the other local cleaners, but a bargain if you have been using one of those "up town" cleaners.
