When my Nonna didn't have time to make her own ravioli, she went to Cassinelli's. I drive down from Connecticut for the capelletti and ravioli. My cousins that live an hour away on the Island still drive in to Cassinelli's. The freshest and best quality ingredients. The meat and the spinach ravioli are super. Lots of other places can make cheese ravioli, but for any other - go to this store. The pasta for the stuffed raviolis, etc is light and thin...not like other pastas that have very little 'pien' (filling) and thick gummy pasta. You won't be sorry that you made the trip to Astoria. After Cassinelli's go to La Guli's Bakery also in Astoria...just a few blocks away. Oh my G-d! Exceptional baking! Truly a great place to buy cookies, cakes, tarts, Spumoni.....WONDERFUL!!!
