Overpriced and not so friendly

Pretty things but extremely overpriced. Service is not so friendly.

My wife is an artist with a passion for fine designer jewelry, so searching for something to impress her is not easy. We both heard nothing but raves about catherine angiel's gallery and finally got down to the West Village to see for ourselves. We immediately understood what all the buzz was about. The designs are complete works of art, tasteful and dazzling. we were incredibly excited. And the staff are not only friendly, but they know their stuff. what an additional pleasure. As far as value, we find her prices very reasonable for designer jewelry and we have spent years searching to know. The work is well worth it and so is a visit. just remember, 'you get what you pay for' We would never think of shopping anywhere else for our jewelry. Good luck and happy shopping!
Best Designer Jewelry

Run don't walk to this amazing jewelry shop in the west village. They have everything you can imagine and designed to perfection! My husband and I only wish we found Catherine's shop before buying our engagement ring, but we were lucky enough to find her for our bands. The designs have the finesse that others lack, including my engagement ring, which I plan on having Catherine redesign for my anniversary. Everyone we recommended has felt the same. So if your in the market for fine jewelry with incredible taste and style, bolt over there!

Here's the deal; Boy meets girl, Boy falls in love, Boy goes to Catherine Angiel, Boy is a hero. Any questions?
Sexiest Jewelry in the city

I have been a loyal customer of catherine angiel for over a decade. Her work is art and constantly evolves and surprises me. The staff is courteous, outstanding and it is clear they are passionate about their work and trained by the artist herself. To me that shows a great deal of integrity. I made an appointment to work with catherine for a custom design and I can not tell you how absolutely exciting it was to work with her and how completely thrilled I was to own the finished product. Whatever it is you are looking for, you wont have to look anywhere else. They are it!

I rarely write about my shopping experiences, and realized some shops truly deserve major applause. Catherine Angiel's shop is by far the best shopping experience I have had in the sea of jewelry shops. The collections are incredible and so is the service. With their help I selected a diamond necklace for my wife for Hanukkah, it is hands down her favorite piece of jewelry. In her words 'I will wear this everyday for the rest of my life'. I can not say enough what a pleasure it was to shop there!

Shopping for an engagement ring was a much more intimidating experience than I imagined it would be. I tried several places before I discovered Catherine Angiel. The atmosphere was very casual and not stuffy like some of the other places I had tried. The staff really made me feel at ease. They took the time to answer all my questions and I left feeling confident about my purchase.
Shopping for a diamond

After 3 months of shopping for an engagement ring, a work associate suggest I go see Catherine Angiel. The selection was more than I hoped for. The atmosphere was equal to the product, the staff friendly and very helpful. It is clear they care about the relationship with the customer and not about the one time deal. My ring was beautifully designed and my fiance loved it. I also saw a cool wedding band for myself, which I thought I would never find. If you are in the market for a ring or some really cool designs, don't waste three months talking to sales people like I did. This place is the relief you are searching for.
The place to go
By johnny61 on 6/27/2008
I am a research kind of guy and when shopping for my engagement ring I was getting as much of an education as possible. It was a real 'blind item' for me and heard to many horror stories. The first place I went was Catherine Angiel. They showed me several stones in my price range and explained the details in language I could understand. Concerned whether I was getting a good deal, I needed to look around some more. In doing so I realized stones are not all created equal and one must see them to understand. The stone selection I saw at Catherine Angiel's were so brilliant, it hurt my eyes. When I looked at stones of the same color and clarity elsewhere they seemed 'flat' in comparison. I learned the cut of the stone makes a huge impact on the price. And it is clear why, It is what makes a diamond sparkle at it's max. Catherine's staff explained this but I had to discover it on my own. I went back after all my research and made my purchase with confidence.
Excellent value and designs

I have seen Catherine Angiel in many fashion magazines and her work always caught my eye. I was in Toronto recently on a business trip and tired from the day, I decided to kick back and veg with the Tele. Flipping through the channels I caught a documentary called 'Women On Top" and there was Miss Angiel and her life story and career. It was inspirational and I knew I had to finally go visit the artist, if not for anything but thank her for sharing her great story. The shop itself is unlike any other jewelry store, it is very cool and the collections are amazing. To my relief the prices vary, so there is something in every price range. I purchased a gift for my partner from her prestigious 'Dangerous" collection but in Silver. When I met Miss Angiel she could not be warmer. She added the silver collection recently as she said she wants everyone to be able to wear her creations. It was not just a great place with great designs, it was the whole experience!
