Unfortunately this store's customer service needs some help. It seems a case of bad attitude and good product. In-store, the salespeople are pretty friendly and helpful. However, none of my voicemails I left to follow-up on my order were answered. When I did reach a person, they told me that they had tried to call but my voicemail wasn't set up - not the case. She also said that I'd have to wait several hours for her to call me back, without asking when would be a convenient time to reach me. She redeemed herself by calling me back soon after with a clear answer to my question, though blaming her colleagues for the messed up order. Her attitude was still pretty unfriendly and unconcerned. How good can the product really be when you have people like that representing it? It made me wonder how serious their design philosophy really is. I felt like I had just shopped at a trendy and unnecessarily snobby clothing boutique. Ick.

A completely terrible buying experience that saddened us greatly, as we've always admired this store. We've checked with some friends, also local New Yorkers, and have learned that we're not alone. Apparently this store has a habit of selling damaged merchandise, then refusing to refund or even exchange the purchase. And get this: they'll add injury to insult by blaming you for the problem. Imagine! In a world of ever-growing options, this is one to leave off the list!
