i was in this shop last friday and it was fabulous on all levels.. inventory, attention to detail, confident suggestions, a feel good experience... please treat yourself and shop here; i will again

Yes, I would go back!

Darling is a wonderful resource for feminine, romantic dresses- both new and vintage. Items are reasonably priced for a West Village boutique, and they have a cute selection of undergarments. I visit storeadore.com to receive a 20% Darling discount.

Not worth it!!!

No, I would not go back!

One of my friends had raved about this place, so we went looking for a dress for another friend's wedding. There were some really cute dresses, and I bought one for $110. Later that same day we ended up in a cheapo store in the Manhattan Mall (looking for accessories), and I found the EXACT same dress (same tag and everything) for $30!!! At first I figured, "oh, I bet when the nice people at darling bought this, they didn't know how cheap it really was," but then when I went to return it, I told the salesperson what happened, and her response was ridiculous. She just smiled and said "Wow. You got a really good deal." Now I just can't trust that any of their dresses are truly worth what their pricetags say. Sorry.

Yes, I would go back!

After visiting every wedding shop in the city, I stopped at Darling on the suggestion of a friend and stayed for two hours. Though they don't specialize in wedding dresses, the kind and accomodating staff met my every need and found a dress for me that is beyond perfect. I can't thank them enough! They gave recommendations for tailors and best wishes on my marriage, and the selection was so fantastic that I wanted to restock my entire wardrobe!

although i am selflishly holding back on praise (to keep the crowds out), this store deserves some serious props. you can walk in on a friday night, dress yourself with their friendly, undeniably hip staff, and hit the streets in a new hot dress with enough cash leftover to pay for dinner. this store rocks!

I LOVE THIS STORE. THE SELECTION IS WONDERFUL, THE GIRLS WHO WORK THERE ARE AWESOME, IT'S LOVELY AND THEY ACTUALLY HAVE DRESSES THAT LOOK MILLION DOLLAR AND ARE IN FACT...GASP...AFFORDABLE!!!!
