Rampant Racial Profiling At SOHO Location

  • No, I would not go back!

A resident of Nolita, I made a purchase at Dean & Deluca this afternoon shortly before 3PM. I was surveilled while making product decisions by men on little black walkie talkies, one man even ducking behind produce to avoid being obvious. I only purchased a handful of items, but was made to feel uncomfortable being that I was the ONLY person being tracked and monitored as I looked around the store. It was clearly racially motivated, being that I am a minority, while all of the other shoppers enjoyed the freedom of being treated like normal human beings as they shopped. Bravo Dean & Deluca! Bravo to you and your preemptive efforts to catch the Black shoppers red handed. Truly appalling.
