Don't Shop Here!
By crystals_53 on 3/9/2012
If you are dark skinned or Jewish you will be treated with contempt at this establishment. Nice clothes do not make up for the attitude of the owner and salesgirls. If you have a few extra pounds on your body or too many wrinkles you will be directed to shop elsewhere.

The girls at this store are so nice and even go out of their way to keep you from buying something that doesn't look right on you. Everything I have gotten here I LOVE, no post purchase regrets. I feel that the review NY mag gave is wrong when they say you're judged by the way you look, its not true. If you are nice to them, they are nice to you its as simple as that. I've lived in Cobble Hill and been shopping there for 8 years and believe me I come in like a slob sometimes, it doesn't matter at all!
Service based on what you're wearing

I live around the corner from this shop, and absolutely love the selection. I've purchased quite a lot here, but am rethinking my decision to shop here even though it's incredibly convenient. On the days I pull on sweats and don't apply makeup, I am completely ignored and have the distinct sense that I am being looked down on. When I ask a question of the sales staff I am given short, dismissive answers. On the days I come in "dressed," I am immediately approached by pleasant and chatty sales staff. I now play a game where I dress differently to watch what will happen and the findings are remarkably consistent! Your clothes are gorgeous and the prices aren't bad, but watch out Diane T ... you can't always judge a book by its cover. I spend a lot of money on clothes, and want to be treated well, so I'm taking more of my business down the street to Barneys where I am treated kindly *every* time I enter the shop.
Very helpful salespeople...just ask them!

I went into the store looking specifically for a great interview outfit. I asked for help and the 2 women in the shop at the time pulled lots of great pieces for me and helped me make my final selection. It looks like I'm going to get the job, so thanks Diane T staff!

Awful, unpleasant shop assistants. Generally uninspiring experience.
