The international variety of product in Frank's Market makes it the gourmet gem of Washington Heights. You can find everything from flowers to foie gras within it aisles. Service is always great. Quality is excellant and they deliver! Don't change a thing!

When I needed Frank's to deliver a few bottles of Pedialyte, they were VERY kind and prompt. Thanks to them. I've enjoyed shopping there when I've visited the neighborhood: I'll be even more happy to go there now.

frank's gets away with murder because there is virtually no competition in this neighborhood. while they do carry a decent selection of grocery items, the produce is low quality. more problematic, even, are the exorbitant prices here. every item here is significantly more expensive than in any other store. for better produce--also expensive but at least good quality--in this neighborhood, go to jin's on 181st and Fort Wash. And grocery items, Key Food carries a lot (though not all) of the same stuff, for much less.

Frank's Market, while they do carry good international items and a nice array of gourmet goodies, has virtually taken over the food and market aspect of the neighborhood it is situated in. Frank's started out as a small supermarket but then blossomed into a huge gourmet food store with an added wine store, Vines on Pine (which is no longer on Pinehurst) and is dominating the little neighborhood of Washington Heights, or more specifically Hudson Heights. It is great if you want a special international goodie or a very fancy bottled beverage, but the prices are sky high due to lack of competition and other things such as green produce could definitely be improved.
