Trambinator- Thank you for your commentary on Italian Wine Merchants. We always appreciate feedback and honesty about how we can improve our business. At the same time, we must stand by our principles and point out some inaccuracies in what you mentioned. As you kindly stated, providing superior customer service is of utmost importance to us. In an increasingly complicated industry, we aim to provide all of our clients with personalized service by removing the daunting feeling of selecting the right wine from thousands of options, and making the overall experience enjoyable. All of our Italian wines are hand-selected and tasted by our CEO, Sergio Esposito, and kept in our temperature-controlled cellars. From our $10 wines to our $500 offerings, each bottle is stored in the cellars and treated as the winemakers intend. Because of the additional steps we take, our wines occasionally come at a slightly higher premium. This extra care enables us to stand by our commitment to quality and allows us to confidently say we offer the world's best wine to our customers. Some purveyors and auctions houses promise provenance and care, but never truly deliver. We show our commitment by regularly taking customers into our cellars, and most importantly, the difference is evident when you taste our wine. It's Great . . . Italy with a NYC + London price tag

Service is excellent but can now be found (with much fairer pricing) at other retailers with the same or better selections of Italian wine. Caters solely to very wealthy clientele. Trying to branch out into the global wine market (beyond Italia) appears to have strained the company's resources. Although there isn't an Italian wine in the world they cannot get for you, you will be paying well more than at other places -- particularly good auction houses. The model worked well years ago but the Internet has made IWM less attractive to even the mid-high-level collectors ($100-200/bottle) when the same wines can be acquired at 70% the IWM price at a dozen reputable online retailers with quality service and no worries about provenance.

- If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
- Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
- Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
