One stop shopping in C-Town.

This is a truly one-stop destination for anything Chinese while in this part of Manhattan. In addition to it's very complete Chinese grocery department, perhaps it's greatest draw is it HUGE selection of China, ceramics, and cooking utensils on the second floor where you can find just about anything you can imagine, for very fair prices. The best imported Chinese teas and herbs are also a great plus. I noticed that just recently they built a nice looking in-store noodle bar that looks very promising for a good fast Asian food pick-me-up, too. The only "down side" for me is that they don't stay open later, closing at 8:30. Midnight would be a far more convenient proposition for "The City That Never Sleeps." If they would only do this, I'd have given them a "Ten."
A must for out of towners & a treet for locals

I've traveled and lived in many urban areas. Chinatown NYC is the best on the east coast. Kam Man is the best place to buy hard to find Chinese/Oriental food products and dining room/kitchen items. Prices are very reasonable and normally 25% cheaper than buying in the suburbs...that's if you can find them. Even the prepared food for take-out is very good.
