I do not normally write reviews but after my experience at Lotus I have to spread the word. I'm going to be honest, I am a plus size bride and shopping for a wedding gown was the most dreaded experiences I ever had. Most of the stores I had went to has samples in size 6's and the sales ladies would always be a little reluctant to help me find "the gown" let alone allow me to try on gowns. I had pretty much given up on my search but my coworker was raving about where she recently purchased her gown and said it was worth trekking to brooklyn for. I made the appointment and my experience there was perfect. This is how I felt shopping for a gown should be. I never felt uncomfortable with my body and they actually made me feel excited about the wedding again. Katie and Wendy were so sweet and patient, recommended styles that would work with my shape and helped me find the dress that made my very critical mom tear up. The attentive and professional service from the Lotus staff was consistent from the time I purchased my gown to the time I picked up the gown. The alterations staff was amazing!!! The gown fit perfect except I didn't fill up the bust area and after they tweaked it a little you couldn't even tell it was altered. I really enjoyed my experience there and hope future brides give them a visit to experience it for themselves.

I recently went with my mom and sister to try on some wedding gowns and it was by far the best bridal shop I have gone to in nyc. The store was clean and relaxing and filled with beautiful gowns. The best part was the staff. They were so sweet and knowledgeable and even helped me choose my wedding colors! Their gowns were very reasonably priced and the styles there were unlike the ones I've seen in other stores. I have my heart set on a Maggie Sottero gown and will be placing my order next week. They also have bridesmaid dresses, veils, tiaras and wedding favors. I can't wait till next week!
