I love this store.

When I am in NYC I totally want to go. It is a wild time the day after Thanksgiving. Hopefully I will get to go this year, but we will see. There is nothing like it where I live and I live in a large city. When I was there on Black Friday 5 years ago the employees were excellent.

The Best Store I've Shopped in

I visit NYC occassionally and will be moving here next month. I am very excited to be able to shop there more frequently. It is outrageously big, but it's fun to get lost. I like all of the departments. I wear plus sizes, and it is difficult in NYC to find appealing styles. Macy's has 3/4 of the 7th floor devoted to sizes 14 - 24 and there are so many styles and designers. I get all of my business suits here and even like the Style & Co. and Charter Club brands. The cosmetics area is such fun, I have tried so many products and I love the outgoing people that they have working there. Bloomingdales will be closer to where I will live, but I will not shop there and get treated poorly because I am not willing to spend $200 on the one button blouse they carry in my size.

Good Store

I like the store a lot. Everytime I go here I can find something that catches my attention. The clothes are great and are always placed properly on the shelfs.Also service is great..though everytime I go to the polo section(this is the section I usually visit Macys for), the people that are there to help you will seem like their competing with eachother...like they are trying to outperform eachother and help more people then their co-workers does. Its a plus on your side cause it makes them more efficient...no lie. Overall great store. I live in The Bronx and I enjoy this store..thats why I visit it often. You dont have to be a tourist to enjoy this store.

I do not understand why so many tourists insist on making this store a must-see when they are in town. I live here and avoid it like the plague. It is usually crowded, dirty and noisy. The clothes in the men's department look like their for old men, gang members, or children's TV presenters. The women's department is either very overpriced, bedazzled, or looks like it came from a Chadwick's catalog. The only reason I gave a 3 is when they have a sale in the furniture department it is good value for money. For clothes, take your hard earned money to Lord&Taylor, Saks, Barneys...

The salesman that waited on me, Guiseppe DiCarlo, was excellent. He was helpful, gracious and efficient.

This is definately a must see, If visiting they look after you giving you a pass for discount. The staff are very helpful which is good as I have visited new york 9 times and macys is my favorite store but I have to say I have lost myself so many times it is so huge.

this store is not terrible expensive. The clothes last and does not shrink. they have a good selection of clothes. if you had a choice of where to go go to Macy's

In Macy's You can find everything! There are Designer labels, Bath & Beauty, Kids clothes*****, and more! I like the Kids and Teen clothing! While, there are others to choose from! You can bet you'll find what you want in Macy's!!

A decent store

Macy's has a large selection of everything but it's size is too large for employees to help out customers who need their service. It is a large mess in the store in Manhattan; the ones in Queens & Long Island are smaller, but it limits on the selection. Sometimes their sales are good deals, and some are not worth the trip. It's really a game of luck of whether or not you will get a bargain.
