A foodie's dream & stress-free planning

Yes, I would go back!

Food was important for us, and we wanted to make sure that everything we served at our wedding stood out and was truly special. Some reviews led us to Marcey Brownstein, and after speaking with Leslie we were completely sold. She was a dream to work with, being both flexible and super responsive (replies to emails within the hour) and experienced enough to help guide us through the planning process. Leslie went far above and beyond her role as catering manager, she acted as a day of event coordinator as well, helping to manage deliveries, timing of the ceremony, having her staff (who were amazing) handle coat check, corrall guests, etc etc etc. She paid attention to every little detail so we didn't have to (and even made sure we ate, which apparently lots of couples forget to do). The food was perfect in every way. The passed hors d'eurves were plentiful, carefully crafted, and beautifully presented. Same with the main courses. The flavors and quality of every dish was far beyond what you expect for large format events like weddings, and we're still getting compliments and rave reviews from our guests three weeks later. Specialty cocktails, desserts, and a late night grilled cheese service were all an absolute delight. We'd recommend Marcey Brownstein catering to anyone looking for amazing food that breaks the mold of typical wedding fare. And if you're lucky enough to work with Leslie Russell, just sit back and enjoy the least stressful part of your planning process.

Yes, I would go back!

We were married on 5/9/09 at Ramscale Studios in the West Village. We wanted a cocktail-style reception, so we mixed up passed apps with two food stations, summer bbq and an Asian station. Everyone loved it, and there was plenty of food. The mini fish and chips and mini burgers were especially great! The drink options were wonderful, too. But the best part was how helpful Leslie was, really more like a coordinator than just a catering manager. She helped us with everything from timeline to decor to logistics, and even ran our flawless ceremony! I would recommend Leslie and Marcey Brownstein to anyone and everyone. I'm already planning a 10 year anniversary party in my head ...
