No, I would not go back!

I had a disastrous experience with Mark which resulted in a lawsuit. I am not alone. Check out these awful reviews on Mark Fahrer posted at http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-11050531R-mark_fahrer_caterer-i A Court entered a judgment in our favor for over $30,000 against Mark but he has evaded our collection efforts. Please let me know if you have any information about events that Mark is handling. Shame on NY Mag for even listing/suggesting him as a vendor.

Do not hire

No, I would not go back!

I unfortunately booked Mark for my wedding in 2009. He almost singlehandedly ruined the evening, had it not been for my amazing band (the Dream Team) to keep the guests on the dance floor. I STARTED A LAWSUIT AGAINST Mark for failure to provide a sufficient amount of food - he ran out of food during cocktail hour (which was 1.5 hours at his suggestion) after about 30 minutes, ran out of the fish entree, NEVER even prepared the dessert that he was required to serve under our contract, and totally screwed up the kosher entrees making them inedible; failure to provide a sufficient amount of beverage (he ran out of various liquors), and for providing unprofessional, untrained staff. Mark DEFAULTED in the action and there is a judgment against him that I am attempting to enforce. He ignored several of my attempts to contact him to resolve the matter. Mark is a crook - he completely skimped on my wedding to keep as much money in his pocket as possible. I later learned that at one time he owed the government a QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS. I would give him a rating of zero if I could but it is not an option.

Yes, I would go back!

Hello, I hired Mark and his staff for my wedding on 10/10/10. We were about 50pp in a beautiful loft on broadway, around Union Square. Mark did an amazing job and I couldnt' be happier with him and his staff. He first came to our house to discuss a menu, came back a week later for a tasting and he was great from beginning to end. He came with me to pick up flowers, we went liquor shopping together and the day of the event him and his staff were simply amazing. They made my perfect day even more perfect.
