Great Work on My Sweater
By angeladezze on 2/2/2012
I brought in my wool sweater from Stizzoli and needed to have it properly cleaned. I love how the managed to get out the small stain (from red wine) at the bottom of my sweater. This is one of my favorites and I wear it all the time, I was just so worried that I had ruined it with that stain and was frantic to have to cleaned. The staff here was friendly - got out the stain and my sweater looks fabulous - as good as new. Saved me a small fortune - replacing that sweater would have been quite costly.
Meurice Saved the day!

I had a disastrous grease stain on a vintage Lacoste polo of mine. When I say vintage I mean I purchased the shirt 2 decades ago. I managed to take excellent care of it throughout the years, that is until I managed to get a whole mess of grease on the shirt when I checked my cars oil. Looking back, what a horrendous error in judgement on my part to check the oil in my beloved Lacoste polo. Not wanting to depart with the relic from my youth, I took the piece to Meurice. I have been to Meurice only a handful of times before this occasion, but I remembered hearing that they do a pretty good job on stain removal. So I gave them the shirt and hoped for the best. I gave them a call a few days later to check up on the status on my shirt, and they said the shirt was complete and will be delivered shortly. The next day I received the polo and I was grimacing with anticipation. I took the shirt and was so excited to see that there was no sign of the stain! I was in pure joy the entire day! I will take this as a lesson to never check your cars oil in a shirt you care about. Thanks Meurice for saving the day!
Unprofessional and untrustworthy

I come to the store with buttons he told me to order and the tailor says" It's all finished! You don't have to try it on. Just take it home. Its perfect." I was shocked . He did not have my consent to add them. Before i arrived at the store, the receptionist at the desk and I exchanged emails on how excited we were to see how it (the buttons I bought) would turn out and how we would go about putting on a bow. It seems she did not know what her tailor had done. The tailor said, "Take it and go. We have a lot of wedding dresses." The back of the dress where they fixed a hole tore apart even before I left the store. There was a new hole in front of my wedding dress they say was damaged via drycleaning; but when I inspected the dress after the first dry cleaning and alterations, it was not there. Somehow it must have been damaged from the last time I was at the store to when I came back with buttons. There were not do anything to the dress until I came with the buttons and now, the dress is torn and in a even worse state than it was before. I spoke to the general manager and she said that since my dress was from a sample sale, it already came with imperfections. I know that and that is why I entrusted my dress to their well known company to make it like new. Now, they refuse to respond to my emails or give me any information on how I could get my money back from their insurance company. $975 down the drain and my wedding is less than 2 months away. Im quite upset.
