If you love cards/stationary/invitations you need to work with Mr. Boddington's Studio. Rebecca and her team turned my dream invitations into reality. After a brainstorming session in their darling office I received gorgeous proofs that turned my "timeless yet playful" aspirations into reality. They did a great job incorporating color and location into my suite without sacrificing on style or quality. They also referred me to an amazing calligrapher who truly turned our invitations into pieces of art! Really looking forward to ordering more stationary.. or maybe even baby announcements?!?

We went with Mr. Boddington for our invites because they were simply unparalleled. Our stationery reflected our sense of personal style perfectly -- humorous but refined. The studio team worked diligently to make sure that our invitation suite was customized for us and took the time needed to get there. The first round of mock-ups provided a foundation for us to work from and started a conversation about how we could use design to convey the mood of the party well before our big event. They came up with an overall look for the suite and intuitively knew that we could get cheeky with our thank you cards, but not our wedding invites. They designed special graphics to capture our individual personalities, they came up with original wallpaper, and they helped us through the assembly to take the pressure off as the wedding approached. We got rave compliments from all our guests. I'd use them again and again.

I wanted invites that were fresh and bright ... but not trendy or cliche ... and classic enough to remind me of my grandparents' from the 1940s :) Mr. Boddington did it, even with our wacky colors of hazard orange and pretty pink. I loved sending out Mr. B invites and love receiving them in the mail- they tend to catch on! They set the tone for an event well beforehand without ever being over the top or too artsy-craftsy like some of the other options in their market. I tuck away Mr. B. cards long after weddings and parties- a successful invite :)

This studio is incredibly adorable with vintage decor and old fashioned detail. They have a great sampling of work but are not cheap or fast. Their design and printing process can take up to 6 weeks. That is clear up front. But, we decided to go with them because we wanted something incredibly creative, non-traditional, and fun. As it turns out, we never saw the level of creativity that is featured in their books or on their website and ended up spending over $5,000 on invitations that could have been printed at Kate's Paperie in half the time for half the money. Every package we got from them was beautifully wrapped and the attention to detail for instructions, assembly, postage, etc was great. I would have liked if they had put that much effort into designing the invitations. But they simply did not. In short, unless you get the A Team (whoever they are) you will regret going with them because the process is dreadful. Endless back and forth, and painstaking wait time... Review their website for inspiration and go elsewhere.
