Forget it
By eclecticquilter on 6/23/2010
Messy, dirty store with very little variety of yarns or fabrics. Not worth the subway ride. JoAnn Fabric and Crafts has more! Don't bother.

Great - for a certain type of seamstress
By jeskaduman on 7/5/2010
I understand why eclecticquilter didn't like this store - if I was a quilter, I wouldn't either. (Just as I can't ever seem to find anything suitable in JoAnns!) This store is great for those of us who make apparel. Excellent prices, and the best selection of the little-remaining fabric stores in lower Manhattan. Excellent customer service, great deals on fabrics, and a large selection of notions (although I do wish the zipper selection were better) make P&S a nice alternative for those of us who don't wish to go all the way to Midtown to pick up a few supplies.

JoAnn?
By crass on 4/1/2011
I love these guys-- I've gotten beautiful fabric for apparel and home furnishings, patterns at a steep discount, thread, and notions--and all with excellent service. This is not for craftsy-wafsty types who shop at JoAnns (telling that someone would prefer a MALL store) to make their pathetic folksy quilts. I agree with Jeskaduman.
