Pas De Deux is my favorite go-to boutique when shopping for gifts for female friends and family members in the E. Village. It's a smallish spot that pops out of nowhere with its elegant and sophisticated yet warm and inviting decor. Their selection is reliably easy for me to navigate and especially honed and curated―everything on its racks seems to be a beautiful statement or charming story. The shoes are reliably simple yet sophisticated; the jewelry collection features a range of smaller (and cheaper!) pieces that you can buy on a whim to pricier items for bigger occasions; and the other accessories―perfumes, hats, sunglasses―are always exciting to check out. (All in all, the rotation is great.) Also, the floor staff is kind and accommodating and never intrusive or annoying... something I really appreciate, particularly at smaller shops like PDD.
