I love boutiques. I love shopping. I travel a lot for work as I work in marketing for a high end fashion label. I'm always on a plane, but whenever I'm in New York, the special trip downtown to Pilgrim New York is always a highlight of my trip. I recently purchased an unused vintage beautiful Dior Backpack, a Huge Bottega Veneta Pebbled Leather tote and 2 Chanel dresses. All for over $2,000. While it's not cheap, compared to uptown and actual retail boutiques where Chanel jackets cost $11,000 alone, this is a steal. They have a huge selection of comme des garcons direct from Tokyo up front, the store is neatly organized and beautifully decorated and the two guys running in, are the ultimate fashion professionals. I can't say enough about my more than several treks here over the years. It's always fun as well, as they are very entertaining in their fashion tips.

As we are back and forth between Stockholm and New York for nearly the last 25 years, we have come to love certain things about New York that are New York. Pilgrim is one of those places. I just got the most beautiful amethyst/diamond 9ct. gold earrings from the Victorian period for my wife. She is going to love them. Beautifully wrapped in handmade paper and gold tissue, it is such a great feeling to come to a small boutique and feel like they know what you want, they get you and they are extremely knowledgeable and helpful here. Known for years and years in the fashion business as my wife was in fashion P.R. she is very hard to please and has known these guys who own this wonderful shop for ages. I'd highly recommend anyone who seeks something special, luxurious and rare and divine, to run downtown, it's worth the trip.

Best designer vintage store in New York. I love the huge selection of vintage Chanel and all the pieces of Comme des Garcons. I also scored a Prada dress for $300 unworn, a Chanel 2.55 bag ----- in mint condition, and the guys were super helpful to my mother in picking out a really great Adolfo blazer. Super stylish and chic and really the best value for what they offer here. It's not cheap, but compared to Bergdorf's or Harrod's yes, it's a bargain. Love New York and we love you guys at Pilgrim!!!! xoxo Lori

I travel from London to New York often and over the last 6 years while working for British Vogue I have become well acquainted with this shop. Livia Firth (married to actor Colin Firth) who used to be an editor for us wrote a marvelous story on this boutique a couple of years back. I just wanted to do an update here as I noticed below a very fake review and I had to comment. I have literally bought 3 Hermes bags here, a Cartier watch probably over 10 Chanel necklaces, an Alexander McQueen gown, amongst other items. There is no other store that has this quality, selection nor editing of merchandise. They are featured in most major European magazines. It's really sad that some disgruntled little girls who can't afford luxury take to the internet in a temper tantrum, but hey it's the internet. There are unbalanced people in this world. I try my best to avoid them. Unfortunately when they attack my favorite store, and my best friends who I have dealt with in Fashion for 20 years I will come to their defense every time. There are no more honorable people than these two. They are fair, just and kind. But every once in a while I realize as I work with the public and celebrities not all people are kind, lovely, or fair. So I am taking the time to write this review and refute the one a few down which is just ridiculous beyond belief. Over $20? What person believes that? It's complete rubbish and bonkers.

The best selection, the most incredible Prada dresses that are all one offs, the jewelry, the bags, from Celine to Chanel to Valentino, I have been a regular here for 6 years. And every thing I get is a winner. No regrets and the guys here couldn't be nicer. True fashion professionals.

Can't believe this place has a perfect score, especially as negative reviews elsewhere mirror my experience. First, I will give this store credit for having beautiful things. Second: I expressed interest in a bag. Asked for a discount since it was a little bit dirty. Was told they could take $25 off, and when I said I need to think about it but will probably be back in an hour, the owner, BRIAN, said sure, but they won't hold it. I went back in an hour, took the bag, and suddenly, when he was writing up the bill, the new price was $20 more. I went with it, thinking my own memory deceived me. I left. Started feeling as if I was duped. I calmly called the store to let them know how I felt. BRIAN swore that was not the case. He calls me right back, asking me to come back to the store to "look at the price tag." I said no--I know what I saw! Besides, they're handwritten and can be easily replicated in a second! He yelled at me then hung up. Minutes later, I get a text with a picture of the tag, which was NOT THE ORIGINAL PRICE TAG!!!!! I say that with 100% certainty. He called me SCREAMING and refusing to let me speak and on and on and on. He had the audacity to say he will have his attorney sue me if I dare write a negative review of his dishonest store and disgusting behavior.

I just had the best time here. My girlfriend who is a regular brought me here because I've been coveting an iconic lambskin Chanel bag forever. I got the double flap 2.55 classic for $3000 and it's unused vintage from Paris. I've priced them at Chanel and the quality isn't the same and the starting price is $4800 with that Mademoiselle lock which is rectangular and I"m not a big fan of. It's burgundy Lambskin on the inside and perfect with Gold hardware. It's an investment! I was so thrilled and the guys were really patient with me and helped me with how to care for it, and showed me all the details. I spent over an hour there and they couldn't have been nicer. Huge Chanel selection which is amazing. I will definitely be back from my summer Chanel bag.

I was visiting NY this week from Berlin and I remembered the article in German Vogue from about a year ago regarding PILGRIM. Fantastic. The chanel vintage is wall to wall. Japanese Vintage designers represented are the best collection I've ever seen. Everything very nice here. I highly recommend a visit when in NYC.

I had a wonderful experience here. Thank you gentlemen for your kindness in helping my daughter pick out her first Chanel bag. It was perfect for her and your patience was greatly appreciated as it took over an hour for her to decide. Thanks again so much and hope to see you later this spring when it's my birthday in June.

Where does one begin? I don't write reviews but after getting off a 17 hour flight and coming here to this wonderful boutique I had to write one. The guys couldn't have been more helpful. They helped pick out the perfect bag for me. Not only did I buy a Chanel but also a really exquisite YSL bag and a beautiful necklace. I highly recommend this shop for anyone who loves unique fashion and luxury goods at a fairly affordable price. I spent almost an hour here and I will certainly come back.
