I felt compelled to write in after reading a review that had to be falsified information from one of the lesser bridal "houses" of New York. I cannot express what a complete delight my experience has been from start to (nearly) finish with this store. The graceful employees are buttoned up and patient. I never felt obligated, rushed, prodded or had any sense that this store was anything but the tops. Every clean and chic fitting room had a podium and it seemed they wouldn't allow me to imagine fitting into sometime without being atop the podium first. They take care with the gowns but more care with the customer. The staff has been accomodating, responsive, friendly and helpful. The store design will draw you, the gowns will thrill you but time and time again the customer service will keep you. Do yourself a favor and start here- you will need to go anywhere else.

Even though the sales stafff was poor, I bought my wedding gown from Pronovias because the dresses are beautiful. That was a mistake. The day I went to pick up my dressed they rushed me out of the store instead of letting me see the dress. They said everything was fixed and that it would take too long to repackage it. When I put on my dress, we discovered they had failed to cut the extra material. As beautiful as the dresses are the customer service is terrible. Each fitting and each discussion was met with arrogance and a "I can't be bothered attitude".

This was a nice shopping experience but a terrible post-purchase experience. Know what you are getting in to before you buy a dress here. The salesclerk that I met with and purchased the dress from was very nice and professional. The person that I worked with for fittings after I bought the dress was, in a word, awful. She had no sense of what needed to be done to the dress to make it fit properly and yet she was the person communicating with the seamstress. When I asked if I might speak to or meet with the seamstress directly, she refused. (After three more unsuccessful fittings and countless hours of wasted time, she relented on this.) On several occasions she told me I simply should not have bought the dress because it was "very difficult to make right". She complained to me about having to work on my dress. She was unpleasant, and it got to the point where I dreaded the fittings. It really wasn't worth it. There are a lot of excellent bridal shops in this city; do yourself a favor and steer clear of this one.

My gown is from Pronovias, yes it was a beautiful but the experience I had was NOT worth it!It was a brides worst nightmare!1st fitting my seamstress did not speak English the dress fit perfect everywhere but the length so that was all that needed to be altered. My friend &her daughter came along, she was sitting there like an angel when she started screaming, she got electrocuted by a piece of metal that was hanging out of the socket. The seamstress didn't even flinch! On the way out all they offered us was a catalog! At my 2nd fitting they had taken in the bust and waist!I couldn't breathe or sit down.My veil was suppose to be separated into 2 and that wasn't done.I put in a call and spoke to Elise the director and she said she would take care of my veil and overnight it so I can take it to my hair appt. When I got it I was in tears, she botched my $900 veil.I called she said she would fix it when I come back in.3rd visit my dress was still too tight,a new seamstress fixed it &the veil was wrapped up so I can take it home,I did not get a final look but I trusted her,BIG mistake. My veil was horrible and my dress was a wrinkled mess!I had no time to bring it back it was 5days before my wedding NYC is an hr away so I had to take it in by me.The place where I took it was in shock with what they did,I never noticed the bottom of my dress was also botched.I spent $500 to fix it. The GM@Pronovias Anna G refuses to return my messages so right now I have a lawyer.Good Luck if you go there!

Went recently to look at several gowns I'd identified as possibilities from Pronovias's website; salesperson was late, didn't offer me or my friend even a glass of water, and didn't ask me what I was looking for. Several of the gowns were unavailable, and other than unpacking and clipping the dresses while I tried them on, she offered minimal feedback on the ones that were in stock. She then brought ONE additional gown from the rest of Pronovias's entire stock (3 floors) and when I asked if there were any other possibilities, she said no; as I got dressed and ready to leave, our sales consultant came back and informed us her next appointment was about to start. The entire experience felt like a factory. We spotted 2 dresses on the way out the door that had exactly the features I had told our salesperson I was looking for! Given all of the reviews that have suggested that the purchase experience is the best part of dealing with this place and the rest is somewhere between mediocre and disastrous, we'll be moving on. You will not be pampered here, that's for sure!
