Unfortunately, not a place I will shop at again. They have very nice furniture and the store owner, Rico, was nice in person and helpful (had good opinions on style and color). He promised us superior customer service and his sales associate, Danny, promised us our order in 8-10 weeks (at the most, his exact words). We purchased two sofas (a big chunk of money and investment for us). After 11 weeks we still had not heard from anyone at Rico about scheduling delivery, so I called. I was told to contact Danny. He told me he was expecting arrival the following week. 7 weeks later I am still waiting for my sofa. I have only heard from Danny in response to my call or email. Finally, after 15 weeks and my emailing and calling to see what was wrong, Danny finally offered to deliver one of the sofas that had arrived 2 weeks prior. The other sofa, after 18 weeks, is still MIA. All I want is to know where the sofa is and what has gone wrong, but I don't feel they are being upfront with me. I finally heard today (the first email he has sent me of his own accord since I have placed my order) that the sofa will be at the store the end of next week. Even though the furniture is nice I will not be buying from Rico again. If you don't want to wait for 4.5 months then you shouldn't either. I went with this store because I wanted to promote the little guys and local businesses, but the customer service I have received leaves much to be desired.

I'm a decorator and was interested in a sofa, when I asked the salesman if they offered a trade discount he wouldn't tell me the percentage or even if they did because he didn't know me. I explained who I was, where my store was located and had what I thought was a friendly and professional conversation at the end of which I asked if they offered a discount. He dismissively said " again I don't know who you are" and walked away. This is not how I run my business.

I came to Rico based on recommendation. To be fair, Rico has great products, good selection, and reasonable prices. However, post sale my customer service experience was just simply awful. They are not proactive at all... they just react and even then can't do it well. Rico charges you $80 delivery fee... My delivery time was changed 3 times, and eventually canceled 3 hours after the original time window. Excuses got more absurd with each message. They missed two more delivery dates and i got the product 5 days after I was supposed to. The worst part is the lazy effort and absurd excuses, as if they were doing you a favor delivering the products, which might be acceptable if the delivery was free. Check out Jensen Lewis before going there, or deal directly with the owner if you chose to go to Rico, which i was told to do, but unfortunately did not do.

I am a board member of cooperative building in Brooklyn. When we were looking to replace 80 light fixtures in our hallways, Rico was most helpful in making sure that we selected the appropriate fixture. Rico provided us with valuable professional insight to our lighting needs and a great discount.

My wife and I have been shopping at Rico's from the beginning, when his store was a tiny storefront (before he turned it into a gallery) and have continued to shop there as he grew. Our apartment is like another showroom for his lamps and furniture! Impeccable style and great prices! What more could you want?

I only have Rico's lamps in my home and wouldn't consider buying anything else. They're so stylish and reasonably priced. They have a great collection of furniture and art as well!

Great bang for your buck here. I shop here for clients and Rico always tries to get me the best price on the market. The product selection is edited well. I'm not sure what the other person is complaining about on this site, to be honest. Maybe they're just one of those people who can never be happy and looking for someone to blame? Whenever there was a problem (usually a manufacturing or delivery issue), they took extra special pains to try and resolve the matter at hand. When necessary, they took the item back, no questions asked. I even got a "thank you for bearing with this" store credit once which I passed onto my client because the vendor was causing so much drama about a return and they wanted to make sure that both my client and I had a positive experience. I always judge a vendor by how they stand behind their product when there is a problem, not when things go well. Rico and staff set the gold standard for me. Highly recommend shopping here first before any other store for modern furniture.

I have been shopping at Rico for 3 years-for my interior design clients as well as for my own home. Their selection, quality and customer service have always been excellent. Their staff is knowlegeable and curteous and thier prices are extremely competative. I would highly recommend Rico for your home furnishing needs.
