Terrible experience with alterations, was nearly impossible to get an even hem... And by even I mean less than 6 inches difference between the sides. Management couldn't care less and told me so quite bluntly. Took all the joy out of getting my dress .
I Warn, Stay Away!

HORRIBLE BRIDAL SHOP! They were unhelpful, their alterations department is not good and expensive, they should not be used. - THEY HAD ME WAIT 2 HOURS after my appointment, and the kicked me out 30 mins later, since they where closing. I scheduled ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. - THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL: When I asked for help they only pointed somewhere. I searched through racks, lined with plastic covered dresses. - ALTERATIONS DEPARTMENT SUCKS AND EXPENSIVE! i ordered the dress and came back for alterations.you get 3. -1st session: was fine, although the seamstress spoke broken english. i asked that the design on the bottom of the dress not be cut off. -2nd session: the seamstress from the 1st sessions had been fired. i try on the dress, it is complete disaster. i have 3 boob, it is too tight and too loose, the design on the bottom of the dress has been cut. the new seamstress is ok. she tries to fix it. it doesn't work. i WAIT AN HOUR outside while they open all the seams .and she tries to fix it again. I WAS THERE 3.5 HOURS -3rd session: it still fits wrong! they say they will fix it and tell me to come pick it up in a week. I come to pick it up THEY DONT LET ME TRY IT ON!!!!! I take it home, try it on..A strap snaps, the dress still doesn't fit, THEY DID NOT ALTER THE DRESS CORRECTLY AND I PAID $350 FOR NOTHING, SINCE I THEN TOOK IT TO A PRIVATE SEAMSTRESS TO FIX. I warn all all future brides to stay away
Perfect. In every way.

I purchased a Watters gown from RK Bridal last year for my November 2010 wedding and I too, worked with Sheryl. She was amazing. I had always loved Watters designs and knew RK carried them and would beat any price I obtained from another bridal salon. Not only was my dress roughly $500 less than a salon in Northern New Jersey, but the ordering process was a cinch (so I'm not sure why others had problems. One of the owners worked with me and he was super lovely). A word of advice: don't get your gown altered there. Find a local dress maker or tailor and have them perform your alterations. I went to Ally's Bridal in Hoboken and everything turned out perfectly. Second piece of advice: visit RK during the work week if you can. Saturdays are simply mad and you won't enjoy the time if you go then. Happy shopping!

DO NOT BUY YOUR WEDDING DRESS AT RK BRIDAL! I am getting married in 2 weeks, and I cannot wait until I don't have to deal with these people any more. They ordered me the wrong size dress, so when I arrived for my first alteration appointment, the dress was huge. The poor seamstress had to remake the entire dress, and now I've been there 5 times for fittings, and the dress still doesn't fit right. I've never really complained about service somewhere before, but I have cried after almost every appointment so far. They wanted to charge me an extra $120 for the alterations even though it's THEIR fault that they ordered the wrong size dress, which I refused to pay. Instead, they cut corners to fix the problem and have created 7 new ones. I wear a 34D bra size, and they have somehow managed to make me look flat chested. After 4 fitting appointments, they had altered the dress in such a way that my bra was now showing, and so they took it off of me, and are trying to insist that I need to go bra-less on my wedding day! RK bridal cuts corners, gives you the run-around, and makes you feel stupid. A bride shouldn't have to deal with that before her wedding! This place has been absolutely awful. Please please please don't buy your wedding dress here. It may be cheaper, but you will waste days and days dealing with their schemes.
Its like TJ MAXX or Marshalls

The reality it you have to start early and have lots of patience. But you CAN find your dream gown at RK Briday. Its not like shopping at Bloomindales or Nordstrom with incredible service, its like shopping at TJ Maxx or Marshalls where you have to go hunting, but if you are patient (and have a good friend with you) you can yeild some stunning dresses that are THOUSANDS of dollars less than the other boutques in the city, but they are the SAME brands!!!! I recommend you identify the bridal designers you like before you go, and bring photos to help you in your search. The service is BAD, but the DRESSES are AMAZING! I bought my dress for 1/3 of my budget.
the worst in the city

This bridal salon may have an extensive array; however, unless you are looking for rude workers and a surplus of disorganized merchandise than I would not, NOT recommend this place. Horrible experience, and it's your wedding you should be treated with respect and there are plenty of other places in the city with the same discounted prices but better quality.
AMAZING - Must work with Sheryl!!

I hadnt planned on shopping at RK Bridal for my dress but after feeling like we wasted the day with a horrific experience at The Bridal Garden, we stopped in just to see what it was about. One consultant stood while watching her with other brides, two different brides each in perfect dresses! Sheryl sized me up right away; I could see the wheels churning as she methodically brought in dresses from her well commanded inventory. She chose the order of the dresses for me to try on, I have no doubt she knew exactly what she was doing. My mother and I were taken by the first dress before she clipped me in! We tried about 15 more dresses, even though Sheryl knew that first dress was the one, she had all the patients in the world while encouraging me to consider some others and knowing when something just didnt work. I highly suggest paying Sheryl a visit at RK Bridal. Her cheerful personality is infectious, taste second to none; and she has an innate ability to style brides My experience with Sheryl at RK Bridal was first class!
if you are looking to go prematurely gray, this is the place for you

this place is horrible. it is so awful that i am writing negative reviews about it everywhere i can find to online, and i have never done that before. customer service clearly is not valued AT ALL here. the people are uniformly incompetent and disinterested. they could not be more unhelpful. they overcharged my credit card by $400, they do not accept returns (i tried to return my overpriced guest book), they put my dress order in under the wrong name, they never called me to tell me the dresses were in, when i went in to pick up a dress that should have been there i waited for 30+ minutes before they told me that it must have shipped, they could not find a receipt for my dresses (which is convenient, since they overcharged me so much) and i waited while they dug through their generic receipts in a cardboard box for a receipt they never found. this place is dirty and run down, the employees are awful, and you are pretty much gauranteed to walk out of this place with new gray hairs.
- The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
- If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
- Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
- Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
