Best catering in NYC area
By drewNYC on 2/23/2010
My wife and I love traveling and food. We met Irene on one of our trips and started using her company, Saffron 59, ever since. After several years, birthday parties and family events catered by the company, it was an obvious choice to use Saffron 59 for our son’s wedding. The event, and most importantly the food, turned out a blasting success despite the challenges and our concerns of pleasing our families’ diverse palate (Jewish, Jamaican, Asian, Irish). Saffron 59’s staff was very professional and accommodating. Working with the crew was a pleasure. I full heartedly recommend Saffron 59 to everyone looking for something more than just a catering service.

I would like to thank the Saffron 59 team and Irene for the wonderful wedding they provided for us. We came across their catering company through several recommendations from customers, as well as internet pages, and I am glad that we chose them after interviewing several caterers. Saffron 59’s service and quality was outstanding with a customer-tailored Southeast Asian fusion in the food and the décor. They worked all the way along with us to make that day truly special to us. Thank you, Irene!

As a full time freelance wedding and fashion photographer based in NYC for more then 12 years, I have been to hundred of high profile events, I'm convinced that Irene at Saffron59.com is one of the best event planner / cater for delicious pan-Asian cuisines in New York City... one way to find out for yourself is to meet Irene, her highly trained chefs as well as the friendly staffs and try out their Tasting Menu for your all important events.I'd find their food is alway delicious, elegant and personalized, I highly recommend Saffron59 to all my clients.

Saffron 59 catered our wedding and I would not recommend them. The appetizers were decent and the food we ate at the tasting was good, although, not fantastic. The problem was, at our wedding, Irene was not there. She had a more important event to attend. Imagine paying thousands and thousands of dollars for the most important day in your life and the head chef doesn't show up. She had sent a replacement, who was absolutely horrible. Food was bland, not fresh and just generally not palatable. If you don't care how your important event goes, use Saffron. If your event means something to you and you don't want to look back with regrets, DO NOT USE SAFFRON 59.
