I hate this store!!! I always feel like I'm being watched for theft of goods rather than being helped with an item that I came to purchase. I've watched sales people turn their back to me when I'm headed in their direction and when I finally do get someone to answer a question, it feels like I've disturb them. Specific floors where I've encountered these problems are 4th Floor Gowns Dept, 9th Floor Z salon (Before they completely closed it down) and of all places the Ground floor where the hand bags are sold

While promising Christmas delivery for orders on December 23rd, Saks failed to deliver my gift ordered December 17th. I called the 18th and 19th to explain how essential it was I get my gift by Christmas since my sister lives outside of the US where taxes and an untrustworthy postal service make it impossible to ship her things. But every time I called I was assured there would be no problem and the gift would be delivered on time. My gift was meant to be delivered by the 23rd, but when no package arrived I found out the service Saks used for delivery was closed the 23rd and 24th, providing no delivery. Saks customer service was so unhelpful and unsympathetic. They just told me they could take the gift back or have it delivered by the 27th. They claimed that because the package was picked up they had completed their obligations to send out my gift. I am shocked and extremely disappointed in their handling of such an important shopping season. Due to Saks' incompetence and false advertising, I will now be doing Christmas Eve hectic shopping but will be sure to give my business to Bergdorf Goodman or Barnes. Happy Holidays...

Went into the Chloe boutique to purchase a bag and left mortified. We had to wait around 15 minutes for a Sales Associate to finally walk in. I guess she was busy because she had her back turned against us and wouldn't turn around until we asked for help. Finally when I asked her for a bag in a specific color, she asked me if I really wanted to know or if I was just trying to waste her time. My husband and I were appalled. I've been shopping at Saks on 5th ave for the past 8 years. I even purchased my wedding gown here, which was a great experience. It was my first time meeting a bad Sales Associate at this dept store. And I hope it'll be the last.

I'm not entirely sure what the last writer was on about, but Saks is a luxurious shopping experience and the staff will bend over backwards to be sure you leave there happy. You can find anything from a Jo Malone gift set to a $22k custom Kiton suit. My only complaint is that they do not have a more extensive home selection a la Neimans. The shoe selection is the best in Manhattan and the chocolate cafe on the 8th floor is a lovely treat if you are spending the day shopping!

The most beautiful, tasteful, trendy clothes, anywhere. Wonderful sales help, not stuck up or intimidating, kind and helpful. Really help you buy what looks best on you. Best value and quality for the money, makes cut rate stores look overpriced. Best sales, amazing bargains. Always gracious to rich, middle class and poor.

No better department store in New York. The selection is great, never ever had a problem getting a size, the service is amazing compared to all of the other department stores, they are friendly and no what they are talking about. Best selection of designers and by far the easiest and best store layout out of any Flagship Department Stores. Saks even has a great home department, not on par with Bergdorf Goodman, but still very great. Also one of my favorite part abouts Saks, is the food, all of the cafe's and restaurants have great food and decent prices.

Saks Fifth Avenue has been our family favorite since 1924. The window displays have always been outstanding, the service impeccable in our experience. The sales associate mentioned below must have been having a personal crisis, bless her heart!
