I actually was very close to purchasing a shirt for my fiance but decided not to patronize an establishment with such rude and patronizing staff. I'll take my business where it will be appreciated. I've received better treatment at Kmart.

If you ever want to return stuff to this store, you would find out how RUDE this store's people could be! My sister bought a $800+/- jacket and some other stuff from this store. The jacket was for her boyfriend. But the next day when he tried it no. I noticed that there was a snag/defect. So we brought the jacket back. Those two RUDE sales people said that was the only one, and no exchange/return. They claimed that "once you put it on for 1 SECOND, it means you HAVE WORN it. so NO EXCHANGE/RETURN." That was exact the sentences that they said to me. I never met such rude people before in my life. I asked them whether they are religious and whether they believe in god. They said they are Catholic and they went to church every week. How come they even lie about their religion? How come they even lie about it just for STEALING MONEY from customers who trust them? Be prepared to throw your wallet away, if you still want to throw money to those LIARS!

On Aug 6th, I bought a jacket, a pair of pants and a shirt from here for my boy friend. A day later, when he was about to try them on, my sister pointed out some defects on the suit. So we went back to the store right afterwards. After showing the sales person the defects, he refused to do exchanges or returns, which is contradicting their return policy! They even accused my boy friend of wearing the clothes the day before! SRSLY?! We compromised and said we accept an exchange. HOWEVER, the sales brought the jacket downstairs, and minutes later brought the SAME jacket back and said it's new. The defects were still there but not as noticeable. They simply went downstairs to cut out the snags! After a while, another sales person even started to point out more defects and claimed those are the evidences that we'd worn the clothes. LOL But we insisted that we didn't wear the clothes, the sales said,"once you leave the store, if you have ever put on the jacket for one second, it means you have wore it, it means you can never return it". I called Chase about this, and they give my credit back. But a few days ago, OCT 4TH, Seize sur vingt charged my card AGAIN! I called Chase about this, and they told me Seize Sur Vingt told Chase that they wanted to do returns but i refused to. WTF?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! They even lied that they apologized to us in front of the police, who didn't show up AT ALL! If you see my review, and still want to give them a try. GOOD LUCK.

I can not understand why this place keeps getting such good reviews. While they have some fantastic clothes samples, their fitters and cutters are basically incompetent. Seize Sur Vingt's shirts were ill-fitting and several of the patterns I ordered were different from the ones I had selected in their book. I basically threw away all the shirts I got from them and chalked it up to inexperienced shirt buying. While Seize Sur Vingt has a cool downtown vibe (the reason I went their in the first place), I would recommend, getting over the uptown/downtown divide and heading to several places that make much better shirts at much better price points, including Turnbull & Asser (who's basic cut and collar Seize Sur Vingt is trying to ape), Ascot Chang (which has much more variety in terms of pocket, collar and body choices) and Geneva Custom Shirts, which are just in a different league all together.

The best way handle this shopping experience is to close your eyes and deal. The staff is absolutely evil and are completely clueless in regards to customer service. Especially stay away from any of the girls that are working. BUT, the shirtings and suits are impeccable so if you can endure the trip there, you'll end up with the best of the best.

I've been shopping here for the past five years. James and Co have always strived for impeccable service and satisfaction. I had shirts not cut right and they rectified it AND shipped it to me in NZ. Plus their shirts last for years. Not cheap, but great fabric, tailoring, and the shirts are one-of-a-kind. Much better than traditional Italian designer shirts. 0)

I am a big fan of this place. Funny thing is, it's largely because I have had several AMAZING interactions with the staff. Dont get me wrong, I love the clothes but it was the attentive service that really made the difference for me. Having worked in retail in the past, I'm easily alienated by arrogant and dismissive sales people. My experience in this place was astronomically better than 99% of my soho shopping experiences. The first time I went into the store was with my boyfriend, who was looking for a tailored suit. The sales staff spent several hours helping him find the perfect gettup. Since that day, we've been back multiple times. In sum, it's unfortunate -- and sort of a shock -- that others have had less than positive experiences here. My take: Check it out for yourself.
